10、l National Differences included in the UL adoptionof the corresponding IEC standard.In its IEC-based standards, UL uses the notations indicated below to identify national difference type, andthese types are additionally noted in this document. The standard may not use all types of thesedeviations.D1
11、 - These are deviations which are based on basic safety principles and requirements, elimination ofwhich would compromise safety for U.S. consumers and users of products.D2 - These are deviations based on safety practices. These are deviations for IEC requirements that maybe acceptable, but adopting
12、 the IEC requirements would require considerable retesting or redesign on themanufacturers part.DC - These are deviations based on the component standards and will not be deleted until a particularcomponent standard is harmonized with the IEC component standard.DE - These are deviations based on edi
13、torial comments or corrections.DR - These are deviations based on the national regulatory requirements.Each national difference contains a description of what the national difference entails. Typically one of thefollowing words is used to explain how the text of the national difference is to be appl
14、ied to the base IECtext:Addition / Add - An addition entails adding a complete new numbered clause, subclause, table,figure, or annex. Addition is not meant to include adding select words to the base IEC text.Deletion / Delete - A deletion entails complete deletion of an entire numbered clause, subc
15、lause,table, figure, or annex without any replacement text.Modification / Modify - A modification is an altering of the existing base IEC text such as theaddition, replacement or deletion of certain words or the replacement of an entire clause,subclause, table, figure, or annex of the base IEC text.

17、 for drip-type coffee makers,self-heating thermal protectors (SHTP) for recessed lighting fixtures, and Fan/Heatsequencers as defined in this standard.2.2.107ADV D2 Add the following definitions to Clause 2.2 of the Part 2:2.2.107ADV.1 Thermostats for Drip-Type Coffee Makers an automatic thermostat(
18、operating control with type 2 action) intended for use in household Drip-Type CoffeeMakers.2.2.107ADV.2 Set-Point Temperature Rating (Ts-p) for thermostats for use in drip-typeCoffee Makers The temperature at which the thermostats electrical load switchingcontacts change state upon temperature rise.
19、 For adjustable thermostats the Set-PointTemperature Rating (Ts-p) is the temperature at which the thermostats electrical loadswitching contacts change state, upon temperature rise, with the thermostat adjusted tothe maximum temperature setting. This rated value is a nominal figure of a temperaturer

The range is defined by the allowable tolerances specified in table 7.22.2.107ADV.3 Operating Temperature Initial (Top-init) for thermostats for use in drip-typeCoffee Makers A temperature, measured during the deviation test, at which thethermostats electrical load switching contacts change st
21、ate upon temperature rise. Ifmultiple trials of the deviation test are conducted, this value is the arithmetic average ofup to three trials.2.2.107ADV.4 Operating Temperature Final (Top-fin) for thermostats for use in drip-typeCoffee Makers A temperature, measured during the drift test conducted aft
22、er theendurance test sequence, at which the thermostats electrical load switching contactschange state upon temperature rise. If multiple trials of the final drift test are conducted,this value is the arithmetic average of up to three trials.2.2.107ADV.5 Maximum Normal Use Temperature Rating (Tmax)
23、for thermostats for use indrip-type Coffee Makers The maximum temperature permitted on the thermostatssensing surface during normal operation of the coffee maker.
