4、 50 andthe Standard for Electrical Equipment, Environmental Considerations, UL 50E for the intended use.Mounting posts or pedestals with an integral door or cover intended to provide environmental protectionof factory or field installed receptacles shall provide environmental protection with and wit

5、hout attachmentplugs connected. See Rain and Splash Test specified in Section 22A.7.7 Luminaires (Illuminated Mounting Posts and Pedestals)7.7.1 A mounting post or pedestal provided with luminaire(s) shall comply with the requirements specifiedin 7.7.2, and the applicable requirements in Appendix A.

6、7.7.2 Luminaire(s) that may be supplied by a source separate from equipment intended to be mounted tothe post or pedestal shall comply with the following:a) Luminaire wiring compartment(s) and any lamp(s) that are intended for field replacementshall be separated from other wiring compartments provid

7、ed in the post or pedestal by a barrierto provide separation of circuits.b) The mounting post or pedestal shall be provided with a field installable label that specifiesthat the equipment may be supplied by multiple sources. See 26.10.2.22A Rain and Splash Test22A.1 A mounting post of pedestal provi

8、ded with a cover or door to provide environmental protection ofreceptacles (whether intended to be installed in the field or in the factory) shall be subjected to the Rainand Splash Test as specified in the Standard for Power Outlets, UL 231, with a receptacle installed asintended in use.23A Illumin

10、TION ORDISTRIBUTION WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM UL26.10 Illuminated Mounting Posts and Pedestals26.10.1 Luminaire(s) provided with a mounting post or pedestal shall be marked for connection to a Listedbranch-circuit type overcurrent protection device, such as a circuit breaker or a fuse that is rated 20

11、amperes maximum. Luminaires shall also be marked, in a location that is visible during installation andreplacement of lamps, with electrical rating in volts and watts.26.10.2 An illuminated mounting post or pedestal that may be supplied by multiple sources, as specifiedin 7.7.2, shall be provided wi

13、Light Emitting Diode (LED) Equipment For Use In Lighting Products, UL 8750RATIONALE FOR DECISION:The Standard for Termination Boxes, UL 1773, includes requirements for Mounting Posts and Pedestals.These posts or pedestals are intended to support distribution devices, which may be installed either in

14、 thefactory or in the field. In addition to including means to factory of field install distribution devices, theseposts may be illuminated with integral luminaires. This Certification Requirement Decision (CRD) includesthe construction, performance, and marking requirements for self-illuminated mou

15、nting posts andpedestals.The Standard also includes requirements for covers which may be used to achieve environmental ratingsbased on the Standard for Electrical Equipment, Environmental Considerations, UL 50E. Existingreferences to this Standard for environmental testing does not include a require

16、ment that attachmentplugs be included in the test sequence.
