The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical comm

23、ittees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the

24、International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2. The main task of technical committees is to prepare International Standards. 25、al Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition (ISO 10286:1996), of which particularly the annexes have bee

27、n technically revised. They are essentially brought into coherence with the corresponding terms in the 14th edition of the UN recommendations on the transport of dangerous goods (2005)1). The terminology has been slightly revised and extended with a number of terms connected to composite cylinders.

37、1 Anwendungsbereich This International Standardestablishes the terminology usedin the field of gas cylinders. It also gives definitions relating topressures and gases in Annex A and Annex B respectively. In addition to terms in English andFrench, two of the three officialISO languages, this Internat

38、ionalStandard gives the equivalentterms in German; these arepublished under the responsibilityof the member body for Germany(DIN).
