5、E Electrical Energy Storage Device Labeling Recommended Practice RATIONALE This SAE Information Report is intended to provide comprehensive reference guidelines pertaining to the labeling of any device used for energy storage at all levels of sub-component, component, subsystem and system level arch
6、itectures describing content, placement, use, end-of-life and durability requirements. The introduction of new technologies, applications and manufacturing techniques as well as new suppliers and governmental entities has resulted in the need to address and standardize the labeling requirements of t
7、he component including handling and transportation information. FORWARD This document provides labeling guidelines for any energy storage device including cell, battery and pack level products used in mobility, stationary and secondary use applications. Every attempt is made to cover information use
8、ful during the entire life spectrum of the product from manufacturing, shipping and transportation, usage, re-usage, and emergency information up to and including the point of recycling or reclamation. It is intended to provide labeling guidance for anyone working in the field of energy storage devi
9、ces. 1. SCOPE This SAE Recommended Practice provides for labeling guidelines at all levels of component, subsystem and system level architectures describing content, placement and durability requirements of specific unit throughout the total product life cycle from inception to reclamation. 2. PURPO
10、SE This document provides recommendations suggested by a group of professionals skilled in the field of energy storage and includes important information for labeling, including governmental regulations specific for energy storage devices. This information is provided to be part of the labeling prog
11、ram but does not specify exactly how and where and in what format that information is communicated to those persons or entities that interface with the subsystem(s) and systems(s).
