Reference Section was added as Section 2.1. ScopeThis code applies primarily to mobile cranes that lift loads by means of a drum
8、and hoist linemechanism. It can be used to determine the hoist line speed and power of other hoist line mechanisms, if loadcan be held constant and hoist line travel distance is sufficient for the accuracy of the line speedmeasurements prescribed.1.1 ObjectThe object of this test is to determine the
9、 hoist line speed that a mobile crane develops while hoistinga specified load with a specified condition of rope layers on the drum. The specified load is reported in poundsand the hoist line speed in feet per minute. Values derived may be used to calculate hoist line power.2. ReferencesThere are no

11、 purposeof lifting and supporting loads.3.3 Hoist Line PowerA rate of doing work, derived by mathematically correlating measured values of time,distance, and force; normally expressed as horsepower or foot pounds per unit time.3.4 LoadThe weight in pounds of the hookblock and other items suspended f

Limitations4.1 It is important that the manufacturers
13、 maximum load recommendations for the conditions of test not beexceeded, since such loads are frequently based on structure or stability limitations.4.2 Hoist mechanisms on mobile cranes are usually powered by internal combustion engines. Such engines areaffected in performance by the atmospheric co
14、nditions of temperature, humidity, and altitude. For this reason,and because engine and hoisting mechanism friction is indeterminate, the values measured are reported asobserved. Reliable correction factors for the influence of atmospheric conditions and mechanism friction arenot available; hence th
