20、ns which have been tested and passed the qualification tests specified herein. SAE AS1501C Page 4 of 25 3.2 Materials: The hose assembly materials shall be uniform in quality, free from defects, suitable for its intended use, consistent with good manufacturing practices, and in conformance with the

21、applicable specifications and requirements specified herein. Materials used in these hose assemblies shall be selected from those listed in Table 3. 3.3 Design and Construction: (R) Hose furnished under this document shall be in accordance with requirements of AS1502, AS1503, AS1504, AS1505, AS1506,

22、 AS1541 , AS1542, AS1543, AS1544, (R) AS1591, AS4546, AS4774, and AS4804 and shall comply with the grades of construction and forms of manufacture as specified on the individual standards. 3.3.1 Soft End Couplings (Cuffs): Soft end couplings (cuffs) shall be formed by omitting the reinforcement wire

23、 (metallic or nonmetallic) from the end portion of the hose. See 3.3.3 for termination of wire ends. The inner layer of fabric of the hose shall be continuous for the entire length of the hose and couplings. The soft ends shall have sufficient resilience for a snug fit over a rigid tube end conformi

24、ng to Type A of MS33660 but shall be resistant to flow deformation to prevent clamp loosening and hose blow-off during service. 3.3.1.1 Cuff External Configuration: For high pressure hose assemblies, a bead shall be added to the soft ends when specified on applicable standard or drawing. The width o

25、f the bead shall be 0. 12 or 0. 19 in for hose diameters 4.00 in and smaller and 0.25 to 0.38 in for hose diameters 4.25 in and larger. Height of the bead shall be 0.04 in minimum above the cuff with shape optional. 3. 3.1. 2 Cuff Internal Configuration: Internally molded seal rings shall be added t

26、o soft ends when specified on standard or drawing to reduce joint leakage. 3.3.2 Cut Ends: Cut or plain ends shall be the same as the hose body. Reinforcement wire (metal or nonmetallic) ends shall be crimped and/or terminated in such a manner as to prevent damage to the hose. Cut ends shall be used

27、 to a minimum extent possible and shall be used in lower pressure systems and where higher joint leakage can be tolerated. 35、Available types IV IV 1 then reduction in cross sectional area, if any, shall be measured. 4.6.3.2 Minimum Operating Temperature Conditions: Hose assemblies shall be maintained at the minimum operating temperature for type hose being tested for a period of 24 h 2 h. At the end of the conditioning pe

36、riod, one hose assembly at a time shall be removed and shall be tested as described in 4.6.3.1. Hose assembly shall withstand proof pressure test in accordance with 4.6.2 and leakage test in accordance with 4.6.4. 4.6.4 Leakage Test: The leakage test shall be conducted as illustrated in Figure 5 at

37、room temperature while pressurized to the applicable operating pressure specified on the standard drawing. Clamps securing the end plugs shall be selected from Table 5 and shall be torqued to the specified value in Table 5. A suitable flow meter will be used to measure leakage and in all cases the l

38、eakage volume shall be corrected to standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM). Maximum allowable leakage rates are specified in Table 2 and on the part standards. 4.6.5 Blow Off Test: Clamps securing the end plugs shall be selected from Table 5 and shall be torqued to the specified value in Table 5. 39、e shall be pressurized to two times the operating pressure as specified in applicable standard (or drawing) and shall be maintained at maximum specified temperature for type hose being tested for a period of 72 h 2 h without evidence of soft end of hose creeping from under clamp. 4.6.6 Burst Pressur

40、e Test: Clamps securing the end plugs may be torqued in excess of Table 5 values in order to meet the pressure requirements of this test. Hose end plugs shall be axially aligned and shall be restrained at the normal free length of the hose assembly. The test shall be conducted at both the minimum an

41、d maximum operating temperatures for the hose assembly. The hose assembly shall be pressurized to operating pressure and then the pressure shall be gradually increased in increments of 20% of the operating pressure to three times the hose rated operating pressure. The pressure shall be held for a mi

42、nimum of 1 min for each pressure increment and for a minimum of 5 min at three time rated operating pressure for the hose assembly. SAE AS1501C Page 21 of 25 4.6.7 Flexure Test and Pressure Cycling: 4.6.7.1 Helical (Form 1 Only): The hose shall be mounted horizontally as shown in Figure 2. One end s

43、hall be fixed. The other end shall be movable and shall be capable of reciprocating motion along the hose axis. The hose ends shall be offset laterally from each other a distance equal to .125 in for each inch of hose diameter or fraction thereof. The movable end shall be cyclically actuated to comp

44、ress and return the hose to its normal free length at the rate of 200 cpm maximum for a total of 100 000 cycles. The amount of hose compression shall be equal to the applicable Table 2 percent compressibility for the test specimen length. The hose shall be pressurized to a minimum of 135% of rated o

45、perating pressure at the end of the compression stroke and unspecified on the expansion stroke. The test shall be conducted at room temperature using dry air or gaseous nitrogen as test fluid. Following completion of flexure test, the hose shall be proof pressure tested to the requirements of 3.5.2

46、and leak tested to the requirements of 3.5.4. 4.6.7.2 Annular Convoluted (Form 3 Only) and Helical (Form 2 Only): The hose shall be mounted horizontally as shown in Figure 2. One end shall be fixed. The other end shall be movable land capable of reciprocating motion along the hose axis. The hose end

47、s shall be offset laterally from each other a distance equal to .125 in for each inch of hose diameter or fraction thereof. The movable end shall be cyclically actuated to compress and to elongate the hose at the rate of 200 cpm for a total of 100 000 cycles. The amount of compression and extension

48、shall be equal to the applicable Table 2 percent compressibility and extensibility for the test specimen length. The hose shall be pressurized to a minimum of 135% of rated operating pressure at the end of the compression stroke and unspecified on the expansions stroke. The test shall be conducted a

49、t room temperature using dry air or gaseous nitrogen as test fluid. Following completion of flexure test, the hose shall be proof pressure tested to the requirements of 3.5.2 and leak tested to the requirements of 3.5.4. 4.6.8 Self-Extinguishing Test: Hose shall be vertically tested according to applicable portions of the Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR), Part 25-32, Appendix F, to meet the requi
