SCOPE 1.1 Form This specification covers a corrosion and
6、heat resistant steel in the form of forgings and forging stock. 1.2 Application These forgings have been used typically for structural parts requiring oxidation resistance up to 1000 F (538 C) and enhanced fracture toughness, but usage is not limited to such applications. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS The
7、 issue of the following documents in effect on the date of the purchase order forms a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Composition
12、 Shall conform to the percentages by weight shown in Table 1, determined by wet chemical methods in accordance with ASTM E 353, by spectrochemical methods, or by other analytical methods acceptable to purchaser. 14、ndition The product shall be supplied in the following condition: 3.2.1 Forgings Annealed having hardness not higher than 241 HB, or equivalent (See 8.2); hardness shall be determined in accordance with ASTM A 370. 3.2.2 Forging Stock As ordered by the forging manufacturer. 3.3 Properties The produc
15、t shall conform to the following requirements; hardness testing shall be performed in accordance with ASTM A 370: 3.3.1 Forgings 3.3.1.1 Properties After Heat Treatment Forgings shall have the following properties, determined on full-section specimens from forgings 0.500 inch (12.70 mm) and under in
16、 nominal diameter or distance between parallel sides or on 0.500 inch 0.010 (12.70 mm 0.25) diameter specimens cut from larger forgings after being heat treated as follows: Heat to 1825 F 25 (996 C 14), hold at heat for not less than 1 hour, and cool to room temperature.
