2、(996 to 1038 C) Solution, Stabilization, and Precipitation Heat Treated (Composition similar to UNS N07001) RATIONALE AMS5704K revises Properties (3.5.1.1.1), and Reports (4.4), and is a Five Year Review and update of this specification. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Form This specification covers a corrosion and he
3、at-resistant nickel alloy in the form of forgings 3.25 inches (82.6 mm) and under, and forging stock of any size. (See 8.5). 1.2 Application These forgings have been used typically for rotating parts, such as compressor blades, discs, hubs, shafts, and spacers, requiring high strength up to 1500 F (
4、816 C) and oxidation resistance up to 1750 F (954 C), but usage is not limited to such applications. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS The issue of the following documents in effect on the date of the purchase order forms a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. The supplier may work to a
5、subsequent revision of a document unless a specific document issue is specified. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Composition Shall conform to the
14、 percentages by weight shown in Table 1, determined by wet chemical methods in accordance with ASTM E 354, by spectrochemical methods, by the methods of ARP1313 for lead, bismuth, and selenium, or by other analytical methods acceptable to purchaser. 17、l be multiple vacuum melted. If consumable electrode remelting is not performed in vacuum, electrodes which have been produced by vacuum induction melting shall be used for remelting. 3.3 Condition The product shall be supplied in the following condition: 3.3.1 Forgings Solution, stabilization, and
18、precipitation heat treated. 3.3.2 Forging Stock As ordered by the forging manufacturer. 3.4 Heat Treatment Forgings shall be solution, stabilization, and precipitation heat treated as follows; pyrometry shall be in accordance with AMS2750: 3.4.1 Solution Heat Treatment Heat to a temperature within t
19、he range 1825 to 1900 F (996 to 1038 C), hold at the selected temperature within 25 F (14 C) for 4 hours 0.25, and quench in oil or water. 3.4.2 Stabilization Heat Treatment Heat to 1550 F 15 (843 C 8), hold at heat for 4 hours 0.5, and cool in air. 3.4.3 Precipitation Heat Treatment Heat to 1400 F
20、15 (760 C 8), hold at heat for 16 hours 1, and cool in air. 3.5 Properties The product shall conform to the following requirements: 3.5.1 Forgings 3.5.1.1 Tensile Properties Specimens from forgings 3.25 inches (82.6 mm) and under in least nominal cross-sectional dimension shall have the following pr
21、operties: 3.5.1.1.1 Mechanical property requirements for product outside of the range covered by 1.1 shall be agreed upon between purchaser and producer. 3.5.1.1.2 At Room Temperature Shall be as shown in Table 2, determined in accordance with ASTM E 8/E 8M. 24、tensile specimens are machined from the center area of disc and hub forgings and this area lies within a 4-inch (102-mm) radius or 25% of the forging radius, whichever is the smaller dimension, elongation may be as low as 10% and reduction of area as low as 12%. 3.5.1.2 Hardness Shall be 341 to 401
