SCOPE 1.1 Form This specification covers a corrosion and heat-resistant steel in the form of sheet, strip, and plate. 1.2 Application These products have been used typically for parts requiring both corrosion and heat resistance and oxidation resistance up to 2000 F (1093 C), but usage

7、 is not limited to such applications. Strength at elevated temperatures is similar to the room temperature strength of 18-8 type steels. 2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Composition Shall conform to the percentages by weight shown in Table 1, determined by wet chemical methods in accordance with ASTM E 353, by spectrochemical methods, or by other analytical methods acceptable to purchaser. 15、ct shall be supplied in the following condition: 3.2.1 Sheet and Strip Cold rolled, solution heat treated free from continuous carbide network, and, unless solution heat treatment is performed in an atmosphere yielding a bright finish, descaled having a surface finish comparable to the following com

20、in accordance with ASTM E 290 using a sample prepared nominally 0.75 inch (19.0 mm) in width with its axis of bending parallel to the direction of rolling and shall withstand, without cracking, when bending at room temperature through the angle indicated in Table 3 around a diameter equal to the ben

21、d factor times the nominal thickness of the product. In case of dispute, the results of tests using the guided bend test of ASTM E 290 shall govern. 23、l applicable requirements of AMS2242. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection The vendor of the product shall supply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any c

24、onfirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements. 4.2 Classification of Tests 4.2.1 Acceptance Tests Composition (3.1), tensile properties (3.3.1), hardness (3.3.2), bending of product 0.1874 inch (4.72 mm) and under in nominal thickness (3.3.3), and

25、 tolerances (3.5) are acceptance tests and shall be performed on each heat or lot as applicable. 4.2.2 Periodic Tests Bending of product over 0.1874 to 0.749, inch, incl (4.72 to 19.02 mm) in nominal thickness (3.3.3) is a periodic test and shall be performed at a frequency selected by the vendor un

26、less frequency of testing is specified by the purchaser. 4.3 Sampling and Testing Shall be in accordance with AMS2371. 4.4 Reports The vendor of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report showing the results of tests for composition of each heat and for tensile, hardness, and applicable b

27、ending properties of each lot as applicable. This report shall include the purchase order number, heat and lot numbers, AMS5523G, size, and quantity. 4.5 Resampling and Retesting Shall be in accordance with AMS2371. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Identification Shall be in accordance with AMS2807.

28、5.2 Packaging 5.2.1 The product shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with commercial practice and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the product to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery.
