SCOPE 1.1 Form This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of die and hand forgings 6.000 inches (152.00 mm) and under in nominal thickness at time of heat treatment (see 8.5). 1.2 Application These products have been used typically for par
7、ts requiring a combination of good strength and resistance to stress-corrosion cracking, but usage is not limited to such applications. 2. 15、e 3 of 9 3.2 Condition 3.2.1 Solution and precipitation heat treated to the T74 temper in accordance with AMS2772. 3.2.2 Forge stock used to produce forgings to this specification shall be ingot or wrought stock in -O or -F temper (see ANSI H35.1/H35.1M). Forge stock ordered to this specification is
16、 for processing to the requirements of paragraph 3.2. 3.3 Properties Forgings shall conform to the following requirements, determined in accordance with AMS2355 on the mill produced size. 3.3.1 Tensile Properties Shall be as follows: 3.3.1.1 Die Forgings 3.3.1.1.1 Longitudinal (With Grain Flow) Spec
17、imens, machined from forgings 6.000 inches (152.00 mm) and under in nominal thickness at time of heat treatment or from prolongations on such forgings, with axis of specimen in area of the gage length varying not more than 15 degrees from parallel to forging flow lines, shall have the properties sho
