6、 apply. 4 Description 4.1 General Different variants of materials, housings and contact arrangements are provided according to the classes dependant on the service conditions. These connectors use crimp or solder contacts of sizes 22, 20, 16, 12 and 8. The receptacles and plugs contain either male o

7、r female contacts. The contacts fitted in the class Y receptacles are exclusively of the male solder type. 15、tained before the male contacts enter the insert of the female contacts and before the coupling ring is engaged. The position of the keying arrangement is given in Table 4. The visual check of coupling is obtained by the appearance of the ends of the bayonet pins (blue) through the coupling ring on

16、the plug. 4.2 Receptacle The receptacle fixing may be attached by: square flange; jam nut, with sealing by O-ring at the attachment; round flange for attachment by soldering/brazing/welding. Class Y only. The receptacle contains five keyways into which the keys of the plug engage. The secondary keyw

17、ays are fixed and are narrower than the main keyway. Polarization is ensured by different angular positions of the main keyway in relation to the secondary keyways. The position of the insert is fixed relative to the secondary keyways. 4.3 Plug The plug contains five keys that engage in the keyways

18、of the receptacle. The main key is wider than the others. Polarization is ensured by different angular positions of the main key in relation to the secondary keys. The position of the insert is fixed relative to the secondary keys. The coupling ring is permanently fitted to the plug and enables the

19、connectors to be coupled and uncoupled. The internal guides of the coupling ring may be treated during manufacture with a suitable lubricant compa-tible with the performance required by this standard. The plug is fitted with a grounding spring device, which ensures electrical continuity between coup

20、led connector housings. 4.4 Materials and surface treatment 4.4.1 General When different metals are in close contact, protection against shall be ensured. The electromotive force of the cell shall not exceed 0,25 V (see EN 3197). 4.4.2 Housings The material of the housings for the connectors and fit

21、tings may be either aluminium alloy or passivated stainless steel. Aluminium alloy shall be plated by the class (see EN 3372-002). 4.4.3 Contacts Unless otherwise specified, contacts shall be in ferrous alloy for classes Y and in copper alloy for other classes. They shall be gold-plated on an approp

22、riate undercoat. Selective protection is authorised provided that it is sufficient to ensure that the specified performance is achieved. The use of silver undercoats is prohibited. Measurement of the thickness of the protective plating shall be effected in accordance with ISO 4524-1 (Class Y). For r

Les rainures secondaires sont fixes et plus troites que la rainure principale. La polarisation est assure p

26、ar les diffrentes positions angulaires de la rainure principale par rapport aux rainures secondaires. La position de lisolant est fixe par rapport aux rainures secondaires. 4.3 Fiche La fiche comporte cinq clavettes qui sintroduisent dans les rainures de lembase. La clavette principale est plus gran

27、de que les autres. La polarisation est assure par les diffrentes positions angulaires de la clavette principale par rapport aux clavettes secondaires. La position de lisolant est fixe par rapport aux clavettes secondaires. La bague daccouplement monte de faon permanente sur la fiche et permet daccou

28、pler et de dsaccoupler les connecteurs. Les guides intrieurs de la bague daccouplement peuvent tre traits, lors de la fabrication, avec un lubrifiant appropri compatible avec la performance requise par la prsente norme. La fiche est quipe dun dispositif lastique de mise la masse assurant la continui

29、t lectrique entre les botiers des connecteurs accoupls. 4.4 Matriaux et traitement de surface 4.4.1 Gnralits Lorsque des mtaux dissemblables sont en contact troit, ils doivent tre protgs les uns des autres. La force lectromotrice du couple galvanique ne doit pas dpasser 0,25 V (voir lEN 3197). 4.4.2

30、 Botiers Le matriau des botiers des connecteurs et des accessoires peut tre soit en alliage daluminium, soit en acier inoxydable passiv. Lalliage daluminium doit tre plaqu selon la classe : voir lEN 3372-002. 4.4.3 Contacts Sauf indication contraire, les contacts doivent tre en alliage ferreux pour

31、les classes Y et en alliage de cuivre pour les autres classes. Ceux-ci doivent tre plaqus or sur la sous-couche approprie. Le choix de la protection est autoris dans la mesure o elle est suffisante pour permettre la ralisation de la performance spcifie. Lutilisation de sous-couches argentes est inte

32、rdite. La mesure de lpaisseur du placage de protection doit tre effectue conformment lISO 4524-1 (Classe Y). Pour les contacts dmontables voir lEN 3372-002. EN 3372-001:2007 (E) 74.4.4 Non-metallic materials The materials used for the inserts, seals and grommets shall have hardness, electrical and m

33、echanical characteristics compatible with the required use. 5 Design 5.1 Housings The connector housings shall be in one unit. The rear of the connector shall contain teeth over its entire periphery that accommodates the rear accessories. The receptacle shall be equipped with a seal for sealing the

34、coupled housings. Receptacles for attachment by nut shall contain an O-ring seal. The nut shall have holes for the passage of locking wire. During coupling, the grounding spring shall be engaged a minimum of 1,02 mm in the receptacle before the contacts engage. Threads shall conform to standard ISO

35、263, Class 2a. The coupling ring shall be designed so that the male and female contacts engage when it is turned in a clockwise direction and disengage when it is turned anticlockwise. The coupling ring shall be knurled. Full locking of the connectors shall occur at approximately 120 of rotation. On

36、 completion of tightening of the coupling ring, mechanical contact shall exist between the receptacle and plug housings. The appearance of the ends of the bayonet pins, coloured blue, through the plug coupling ring is a visual indication that the connectors are correctly mated. 5.2 Inserts The inser

37、t carrying the male and female contacts shall be in hard material and have a cross section and radii such that no cracks, flaking or breaks can occur in normal operation. The insert for contacts shall be non-removable; it shall be mechanically held in the housing. Sealing shall be provided between t

38、he housing and insert. The front face of the insert shall be such that sealing is ensured when the connectors are coupled. The interfacial seal of the insert of the male contacts shall be bonded on the hard insert. The grommet shall permit sealing for all cable diameters indicated in EN 3372-002 and

39、 shall not be removable. The mechanical contact retention system shall be integrated in the hard insert. The design of non-hermetic connectors shall permit individual installation of the contacts without removal of the insert or grommet. Fitting and removal of the contacts shall be from the rear wit

40、h the tools specified in the contact product standards. EN 3372-001:2007 (F)74.4.4 Matriaux non mtalliques Les matriaux utiliss pour les isolants, les joints et les passe-fils doivent avoir une duret, des caractristiques lectriques et mcaniques compatibles avec lutilisation requise. 5 Conception 5.1

41、 Botiers Les botiers des connecteurs doivent tre monoblocs. La face arrire du connecteur doit comporter des dents sur toute la priphrie accueillant les accessoires arrire. Lembase doit tre quipe dun joint assurant ltanchit des botiers accoupls. Les embases fixation par crou doivent comporter un join

42、t torique. Les fiches doivent comporter des trous pour le passage du fil de freinage. Pendant laccouplement, la bague ressort de mise la masse doit pntrer dans lembase de 1,02 mm minimum avant linsertion des contacts. Les filetages doivent tre conformes la norme ISO 263, Classe 2a. La bague daccoupl

43、ement doit tre conue de faon permettre lengagement des contacts mles et femelles pendant les oprations de verrouillage dans le sens des aiguilles dune montre et de dsengagement lorsquils sont dverrouills dans le sens contraire des aiguilles dune montre. La bague daccouplement doit tre molete. Le ver

44、rouillage complet des connecteurs doit se produire aprs avoir effectu une rotation de 120 environ. Au terme du serrage de la bague daccouplement, il doit y avoir un contact mcanique entre lembase et les botiers de la fiche. Lapparition des extrmits des broches baonnettes, de couleur bleue, travers l

45、a bague daccouplement de la fiche est une indication visuelle que les connecteurs sont correctement accoupls. 5.2 Isolants Lisolant portant les contacts mles et femelles doit tre fabriqu dans un matriau rigide et il doit avoir une section nominale et des rayons tels quil ne puisse se produire de cri

46、que, dcaillage ni de cassure en utilisation normale. Lisolant des contacts ne doit pas tre dmontable ; il doit tre maintenu mcaniquement dans le botier. Ltanchit doit tre assure entre le botier et lisolant. La face avant de lisolant doit tre telle quelle assure ltanchit lorsque les connecteurs sont

47、accoupls. Le joint interfacial de lisolant des contacts mles doit tre coll sur lisolant rigide. Le passe-fil doit permettre ltanchit de tous les diamtres de cbles indiqus dans lEN 3372-002 et il ne doit pas tre dmontable. Le systme de prhension mcanique du contact doit tre intgr dans lisolant rigide. Les connecteurs non hermtiques doivent tre conus de faon perme
