    2、all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers a water testing outfit using an organic dye for the determination of dissolved oxygen in feedwater. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 Government documents. 2.1.1 Specifications and standards. The follo

Nothing in this specification, however, shall supersede applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Definition. The method C

    13、dissolved oxygen test kit measures the mount of dissolved oxygen present in deaerated feedwater at the parts per billion (p/b) level. The kit consists of sampling equipment, clamp, glass sampler, rubber tubing, snapper, test eqiiipment, evacuated ampoules containing test chemicals, and a standard co

    14、lor comparator. 3.2 First article. When specified in the contract or purchase order, a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 4.2.1 and 6.3). 2 .     15、.3 Characteristics. 3.3.1 Performance. the amount of dissolved oxygen in deaerated feedwater having a temperature of 21 to 38 degrees Celsius (OC) (70 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit (OF) between O The method C dissolved oxygen test kit shall measure and 40 p/b. oxygen level when the actual oxygen value i

Details and dimensions of the color com- parator used for making the dissolved oxygen determinations shall be as shown on figure 1. The comparator shall consist of a t

    20、ransparent tube in which eight liquid-filled glass vial color standards are mounted and enclosed. be a center space into which the test ampoule can be inserted for color compari- son. It shall be made of corrosion resistant material with adjustable vinyl covered jaws at one end Bor holding the glass sampler in a vertical position and with an adjustable thumb screw type holder at the other end to fit rods up to 13 mm (l/Z inch) in diameter. 3.

    29、3.2.1.7 Chain clame. The chain,clamp shall have a 152.4 mm (6-inch) extension rod that shall attach to a 50.8 to 101.6 mm (2- to 4-inch) diameter pipe. The clamp and rod, as shown on figure 7, shall support the utility clamp and the glass sampler rigidly. (3/8-inch) diameter. The extension rod shall

    30、 have a 9.5 mm 3.3.2.1.8 Neoprene tubing. The rubber tubing shall be black neoprene rubber tubing with 4.8 mm (3/16 inch) id and at least 1.6 mm (1/16 inch) wall thickness.
