The frame shall be of steel with a corrosion resistant coating or plating and shall be of sufficient rigi
8、dity to meet the requirements of this specification. The frame shall show no rust when tested as described in 4.5.2. The coating or plating shall not crack or flake off when tested in accordance with 4.5.3. 3.2 Construction and design. The construction shall be such as to assure compliance with the

14、 Each frame shall be marked with the manufacturers name or trademark of such known character that the source of manufacture may be readily determined. 3.5 Workmanship. The frames shall be free from foreign matter, scratches, scuffs, dents, burrs, pits, or any other defects that may affect serviceabi
15、lity. 4. 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. 19、4.5 Tests. Samples taken in accordance with 4.2.4 shall be tested in accordance with 4.5.1, 4.5.2,4.5.3 and 4.5.4. The chamber shall be constructed so that droplets shall not run or drop on the samples from the moisture accumulated on the ceiling of the chambe
23、r. The samples shall be positioned at an angle of 30 degrees to the floor of the chamber to prevent accumulation of standing moisture on the flat surfaces. The samples shall remain in the chamber for 100 hours. At the end of this time the samples shall be removed fromthe chamber and examined for com
24、pliance vith 3.1. The samples shall not be cleaned or handled excessively prior 4.5.3 Flexure test. A side rail shall be placed in a vise and tightened in a vertical position. The side rail shall be flexed from the initial vertical position to one side through an angle of 90 degrees and then to the
25、other side through an angle of i80 degrees. The internal bend radius shall be 1/2 inch. Std. 102.) 5.1 Packaging. 5.J.i Level A. 5.1.1.1 Disassembly. The frames shall be disassembled to reduce cubage. T

Four complete frames of like description shall be packaged together in a close-fitting box conforming to PPP-B-566, PPP-B-665 or PPP-B-676, 5.1.2 Level B
29、. The frames shall be packaged as specified in 5.1.1. 5.1.3 Level C. The frames shall be packaged in accordance with the suppliers commercial practice. 5.2 Packing. Packing shall be level A, B or C as specified (see 6.2). 5.2.1 Level A. Six unit packages of frames of like description shall be packed

SLY unit packages of frames of like description shall be packed in a close- fitting box co
33、nforming to PPP-B-636, class-domestic. the appendix to the box specification. The box shall be closed in accordance with 5.2.3 Level C. The frames shall be packed to insure carrier acceptance and safe delivery to destination in containers complying with the rules and regulations applicable to the mo
34、de of transportation, 5.3 Marking. 5.3.1 Civil agencies. In addition to markings required by the contract or order, the gackages and shipping containers shall be marked in accordance with Fed. Std. No. 123. 5.3.2 Military activities. In addition to markings required by the contract or order, the pac
35、kages and shipping containers shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129. 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use. cabinets and desk file drawers. The drawer frames are intended to be used for hanging folders in file 6.2 Ordering data. Purchasers should exercise any desired options offered herein and procurem
36、ent documents should specify the follovring: (a) Title, number, and date of this specification. (b) (c) Size of frame required (see 1.2 and 3-3). 39、, etc., which are suitable to Federal Government requirements. 6.5 It is believed that this specification adequately describes the characteristics necessary to secure the desired material, and that normally no samples will be neeessary prior to award to determine compliance with this specification.
