It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW14472. 1. PURPOSE This standard specifies genera

    3、l test conditions for luggage shade performance and durability as an extension of design drawing. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to passenger vehicle luggage shade. Vendor shall perform test according to this standard, secure approval and submit the result to GMDAT QA Team prior to shipping of teste

    4、d items under this standard. For any unspecified items, decisions shall be based on consultation with related GMDAT department and inquire GMDAT Testing Team for any questions on this standard. 3. TEST ITEM PREPARATION 3.1. In case a test item is different from approved test items or when making a d

    5、esign change different from this standard, all changes shall be notified to the customer. 3.2. Vendor shall review numerical measurement data and provide it to the customer. Vendor shall notify the customer of any discrepancy in such data. 3.3. Unless otherwise specified, test items shall be stored

    6、in standard temperature and humidity condition (205, 6520%) prior to testing. 4. TEST EQUIPMENT 4.1. Jig or Buck for Trim installation 4.2. Air Pressure Cylinder or Motor and Control Box 4.3. Push-pull Gauge 4.4. Hot-cold Chamber 4.5. X-Y RECORDER or Plotter 4.6. U.T.M (Universal Test Machine) 4.7.

    7、Steel Scale 4.8. Environment chamber that can maintain temperature 3 an

    8、d humidity5%. 4.10. Cold chamber that can maintain temperature of -30 within variation range of 3K. 4.11. Incombustibility test equipment described in EDS-T-7602. 4.12. EDS-T-7694 Fogging Tester & Glossmeter 5. TEST METHOD & REQUIREMENTS All of the following detailed test requirements shall be satis

    9、fied. 5.1. Test Preparation 5.1.1. Install luggage shade assy onto test jig in the same manner as in actual vehicle. 5.1.2. Operate luggage shade assy ten times prior to testing. 5.2. Extension Force 5.2.1. Test Method Use Push-Pull Gauge to measure the force at handle or shade center area along the

    10、 operating direction over the entire interval (or design criteria interval) prior to installation on trim. (Refer to Figure 1.) Figure 1 5.2.2. Requirements Unless specified otherwise in the drawing, the extension force before and after durability test shall satisfy the following graph. EDS-T-4306TE

Test Method Use Push-pull Gauge to measure the load until the shade is separated along the Separation Mechanism. (Refer to Figure

    12、2.) Figure 2 5.3.2. Requirements Unless specified otherwise in the drawing, the separation force shall be 50N maximum. 5.4. Install Force Test 5.4.1. Test Method Use the Push-Pull Gauge to measure the load until the shade is installed into install mechanism. (Refer to Figure 3.) EDS-T-4306TEST PROCE

Requirements Unless specified otherwise in the drawing, the install force shall be 30N at maximum. 5.5. BLIND PIPE-INSERT PAD Rigidity Test Test the followi

    14、ng in case pipe or bar is inserted into Insert Pad. 5.5.1. Test Method With a blind pipe supported at both ends using jig fixtures, apply a concentrated load (P) of up to 200N at the mid position of SPL at the load speed of 10mm/min using a jig of width 5mm. 5.5.2. Requirement The maximum deformatio

    15、n after application of 200N load shall be within 25mm and the permanent deformation shall be at most 5mm. 5.6. Horizontal Load Test 5.6.1. Requirements There shall not be any change such as damage, joint or deformation that may impact the use of the shade upon completion of test. 5.7. Vertical Load Test 5.7.1.

    17、Test Method Apply load of 200N along vertical direction using a Push-Pull Gauge with shade installed. Refer to Figure 5. Figure 5 5.7.2. Requirement There shall not be any change such as damage, joint or deformation that may impact the use of the shade upon completion of test. 5.8. Drop Test 5.8.1.

    18、Test Method Drop the test item onto concrete floor surface in the following sequence. (Same test sample can be used for all cases.)     20、.9. Open/Close Durability Test 5.9.1. Test Method Define the cycle as from full open condition of screen of luggage shade until it is fully wound. Perform the test in the following sequence at the speed of 6 cycles per minute. Measure extension force at every 2,000 cycles in case of room temperature

Requirements Extension force requirement shall be satisfied upon completion of Open/Close Durability Test. There shall not be any deformation, damage, joint, poor operation

    22、 or fracture in any area of test sample. 5.10. Install/Separate Durability Test 5.10.1. Test Method Define a cycle as installation followed by separation of luggage shade. Perform test in the following sequence at the speed of 6 cycles per minute. Test Sequence Temperature Condition No. of Cycles 1

Requirements Install/separation force requirements shall be satisfied upon comple

    24、tion of Open/Close Durability Test. There shall not be any deformation, damage, joint, poor operation or fracture in any area of test sample. 5.11. Heat Endurance Cycle Test 5.11.1. Test Method & Requirements Expose the test sample under the following conditions: 901Hrs 808Hrs 2316Hrs-408Hrs23. And

    25、there shall not be any change in test sample that is harmful to usage. 5.12. Thermal Aging Test 5.12.1. Test Method & Requirements Test piece size: Approximately 400 mm X 50mm In accordance with EDS-T-7649, leave the test sample at +1152.5K (90)168Hrs. And there shall not be any color change of Gray

    26、 Scale Grade 4 or stronger or other harmful changes. 5.13. Sunlight Endurance Test 5.13.1. Test Method & Requirements Test shall be done in accordance with EDS-T-7415 and the result shall satisfy Grade 7 or better unless specified otherwise. 5.14. Incombustibility Test 5.14.1. Test Method & Requirem

    27、ents Test shall be performed in accordance with EDS-T-7602 and the combustion speed shall be 90mm/min or less. 5.15. Organic Matter Evaporation Test 5.15.1. Test Method & Requirements Test shall be performed in accordance with EDS-T-7694-B and the reflection rate shall be 90% or higher. 5.16. Odor T

    28、est 5.16.1. Test Method & Requirements Test shall be performed in accordance with EDS-T-7603 A2/B2 and Grade 6 or higher is required unless specified otherwise. 6. CODYING SYSTEM Requirement for this standard shall be specified on drawing as follows: “This part shall satisfy the standard of EDS-T-4306.” Additional requirements outside of this standard shall be specified on relevant drawing and be applicable with priority over the standard.
