Incipient resilience cracks and resilience cracks shall not be included in the evaluation. 7.4 Wrapping Test The wrapping test shall be conducted to evaluate the

    20、 uniformity of formability and surface quality for small wire diameters up to 0,7 mm. A test piece approximately 500 mm long shall be tightly wrapped around a mandrel having a diameter of approxlmately 3 x d (d = wire dia), but, ar least 1 mm. The test piece shall then be extended until the length o

    21、f the released spring Is two to four times the wrapped length. Subsequently, the spring shall have perfect surface quality and uniform pitch of the coil. 7.5 Weldability This steel 1s not suitable for fusion or resistance welding. 7.6 Surface Quality other defects which could impair the serviceabili

    22、ty, function or appearance of the parts. The permissible depth of the surface defects shall not exceed 1 % of the wire diameter. (only for wire dia 1 0,8 mm) 7.6.2 Special requirements for surface quality shall be quoted on the drawing or release note. “7.6.1 The surface of the wires shall be smooth

    25、ginal height after compression to block height for 30 times, If no other height is specified on the drawing. 8.3 Electrolytlcally zlnc coated springs shall be tempered as specified in GME O0 252 to prevent hydrogen embrittlement. 8.4 Deviations from the requirements specified in these technical term
