    9、ial weighing approximately 4 to 5 grams. Dry the sample in a mechanically convected oven for 16 hours at 121 C. Remove from oven and immediately determine the weight to the nearest 0.01 of a gram using an analytical balance (W1). Place sample in a muffle furnace for 16 hours at 220 C. (Place sample

    10、on aluminum foil in furnace to prevent dirt pick-up). Remove from furnace and immediately reweight to the nearest 0.01 of a gram (W2). Use 13 mm thick composite batt. 3.13 INTERNAL STRENGTH, min 0.12 N/cm (Avg. of 5) Test Method: Cut test specimens 250 mm x 50 mm and separate at the glass center and glass/polyester interface across the 50 mm width. Mount the sample on an Instron o

    12、r equivalent tester and pull at a rate of 305 mm/min for at least 150 mm of the specimen length. Results of each individual test specimen shall be determined as a mean average of the high and low values indicated on the chart. 3.14 FLAMMABILITY In order to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 302, the materials, portions of components, and composites shall not burn, or transmit a flame across its surface, at a rate of more than 100 mm per min. To demonstrate compliance, the sample size and method of testing shall be in accordance with FLTM BN 024-02.
