Abstract. The skis are intended for use by Militar
2、y personnel in downhill and cross-country tactical operations for mass movement of troops over snow. Classification. The Skis shall be in the following sizes, as specified: Size 1 - 180 centimeters overall length Size 2 - 190 centimeters overall length Size 3 - 200 centimeters overall length Size 4
3、- 210 centimeters overall length Salient Characteristics. The design and construction of the ski being procured shall be in accordance with the approved standard sample. Each ski shall have a 13/16 inch groove in the heel and the 3/8 inch diameter hole in the tip as shown in figure 1. Beneficial com

Each ski shall be permanently and legibly Workmanship. After completion, the finished ski shall be thoroughly cleaned, and all r
8、ough edges, burrs and surface shall be smooth, and all foreign matter removed. Color shall approximate lusterless white No. 37875. Any groove in heel or hole in tip of ski is missing or dimensions incorrect, and identification markings missing, illegible, or incomplete will be considered defects. Pr
9、oduct Demonstration Model. When required, offerers shall submit samples of their intended production and style. The Product Demonstration Model will consist of units independently developed. Product Demonstration Models will be analyzed and evaluated by the government. Evaluation criteria and basis
10、for award are contained in the solicitation. Product Demonstration Models will be retained by the government. One (1) Product Demonstration Model approved by DPSC under the resultant contract will serve as a manufacturing standard for the corresponding production items delivered under this contract.
11、 Offerers are advised that the Product Demonstration Model does not relieve the successful offerer of his responsibility to perform in accordance with the Commercial Item Description specified above. 12、his commercial item description, and where certificates of compliance are submitted, the government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior or to the first delivery and thereafter as may be provided for, under provisions of the contract. Ski lots shall be inspected in accordance with “Sampling Procedures and Tables for Inspection by Attributes“, ANSI/ASQC 21.4, published by the American Society for Quality Control. Visual Examination. The Skis shall be examined for the defects listed below. The lot size shall be e
14、xpressed in units of skis. The sample unit is one pair of skis.
