If higher currents are required, all components of the e
9、lectrical shore connection shall be rated for these values. 4.3 Basic safety requirements 4.3.1 General In order to abandon the landing stage in an emergency, it shall be possible for trained ship crew to disconnect the connection including all the necessary switching operations at any time, without
10、 help from shore-based personnel. 4.3.2 Plug-in connectors Sockets, plugs, on-board plugs and on-board couplings shall be enclosed plug-in connectors with disengaging interlocking mechanisms as per EN 61984. The plug-in connections shall comply with the required rated current and be constructed in s
11、uch a manner that plug-in connections for different rated currents cannot be connected to one another. An appropriate plug system shall ensure that a connection can only be established in the sequence PE, N, L1, L2, L3. Disconnecting a connection should only be possible in the sequence L3, L2, L1, N
12、, PE. After establishing all individual connections, a mechanical locking mechanism shall ensure that the connection cannot be interrupted. 4.3.3 On-shore Connection Monitoring 4.3.3.1 On Shore Technical measures shall be taken to ensure that the current can only be switched on when all five on-shor
13、e connection cables are plugged in and locked both on board and on shore. Likewise, the electric on-shore connection shall be automatically switched off whenever one of the mechanical locks (on board or on shore) is opened. 4.3.3.2 On Board Technical measures shall be taken to ensure that the on-boa
14、rd power supply system can only be switched on when all five on-shore connecting cables are plugged in and locked on board. Likewise, the on-board power system shall be disconnected from the on-board rectifier as soon as the on-board lock is opened. 4.4 Other requirements It is recommended that envi
15、ronmentally-friendly materials only should be used, which have the lowest impact on the environment both in terms of production as well as disposal/recycling. DIN EN 16840:2017-05 EN 16840:2017 (E) 10 Annex A (normative) Shore-based section A.1 General A.1.1 Components The charging station consists
16、of the following components, see Figure A.1: Connection protection equipment; Overvoltage protection (optional); One or more shore connection unit(s). A shore connection unit consists of: A three-phase meter (optional); Overcurrent protection device, such as a circuit breaker with undervoltage trigg
17、ering according to EN 60947-2; On-shore connection monitoring; Five single-core socket outlets. The protection device Item 1) provides protection from short-circuits and shall comply with EN 60898-1. 19、ifferentiated: Design A: Charging station with integrated single-core socket outlets; Design B: Charging station with spatially disconnected transfer station with integrated single-core socket outlets. A.1.3 General requirements The charging station shall be a protected design according to EN 15869-
20、2, e.g. its control elements and socket outlets are located behind a door or flap. When a socket is inserted, the door or flap shall also close in such a way that the connecting cables can be drawn out without being damaged. The charging station shall be designed so that it is as close as possible t
21、o the edge of the quay/floating landing stage. A.1.4 On-shore Connection Monitoring On-shore connection monitoring shall comply with the requirements set forth according to 4.3.3.1 NOTE On-board plug-in connections can be monitored using a loop current with an on-board reactance coil between N and L

DIN EN 16840:2017-05 EN 16840:2017 (E) 12 A.1.5 Lighting The charging station shall be equipped with lighting capable of adequately illuminating the controls, the plug-in connections and the three-phase meter. A.1.6 Transfer station If it is expected that the charging station will be designed at
23、a distance exceeding 10 m from the edge of the mooring quay/floating landing stage, a transfer station shall be provided at a distance of less than 10 m from the edge of the quay/floating landing stage. A transfer station shall have five single-core socket outlets and be lit. The trunk lines between
24、 the charging station and transfer station shall be flexible and shall be protected according to the local conditions. The trunk lines shall be protected from crushing, squeezing and/or bending and laid above the highest expected water level. The transfer station shall comply with the same requireme
25、nts as the charging station of Design A. A.2 Mechanical specifications The charging station and transfer station housing, if available, shall be flame retardant. The housing shall be securely mountable and may not be opened with commercially available tools. Appropriate technical measures shall be t
26、aken to ensure that no inadmissible tension can be applied to the plug-in connections. The charging station and the transfer station, if available, shall be designed for operation at temperatures ranging from 20C to +60C. These limit values shall in any case be extended in accordance with the expect
27、ed temperatures in the region of the installation location. The charging station and the transfer station, if available, shall as a minimum be designed in accordance with protection rating IP54 according to EN 60529, except for the doors or flaps according to A.1. 3. Any water or condensation that h
28、as infiltrated shall be able to drain off. A.3 Electrical safety The requirements of HD 60364-7-730 shall be met. A.4 Further connections Connections shall be available in the charging station or in the transfer station according to EN 15869-2 for 125 A, 63 A, 32 A and 16 A. A.5 Other requirements T
29、he charging station shall be fitted with brackets for lifebuoys according to EN 14145, housing for lifebuoys according to ISO 18421 or further rescue equipment. This shall not affect the functionality or safety of the charging station. The charging station manufacturer shall include assembly instruc
30、tions containing information relating to the safe installation thereof (e.g. foundation, accessibility, work space, lighting of the installation site, functionality, impact/collision protection), DIN EN 16840:2017-05 EN 16840:2017 (E) 13 provide operating instructions for visible assembly at the cha
31、rging station and at the transfer station, if available, documentation which shall also contain information on the regular selection and maintenance for the operator. A.6 Operating instructions Clearly legible operating instructions shall be provided which explain the necessary operating steps and c
32、ontain at least the following information: a) “The unit may only be operated by trained personnel“; b) “Before switching on: first plug in on the ship, then on-shore“ in the order PE, N, L1, L2, L3; c) “After switching off: first disconnect on-shore, then on the ship in the order L3, L2, L1, N, PE“;
33、 d) “Each on-board electric circuit shall only be operated with an on-shore connection unit“; e) “Only use on-shore connection units which comply with EN 50525-2-21 as a minimum; f) “In order to ensure that on-shore connection monitoring functions properly, extensions to on-shore connecting cables a
34、re not permitted“; g) “For openings: guide all five on-shore connection units together through the opening”; h) “400 V, 50 Hz“; i) “Maximum permissible rated current A and rated power kVA“; j) Instructions regarding visual inspection of the charging station and transfer station; k) Instructions rega

The operating instructions shall as a minimum be provided in the language of the installation location as well as in German, English, French, Dutch, Polish, Serbo-Croat, Czech
36、 and Hungarian. In locally limited travel routes, the language selection may be reduced. The operating instructions shall either use a display with a language selection over a fixed mounted panel or be accessible in another appropriate way. Pictures and pictograms shall be provided with a textual de

42、 connecting cables shall be designed for operation and placement at ambient temperatures of 20 C to +60 C. Where appropriate, these threshold values shall be broadened to accommodate the temperatures expected in the region where installation is to occur. The nominal range of the onshore connection c
43、ables shall be rated in accordance with the operating current on board. This will depend on the power requirements on board. Information on the dimensions of an on-shore connection cable are specified in Annex C (informative). DIN EN 16840:2017-05 EN 16840:2017 (E) 16 On-shore connecting cables, see
44、 Figure B.1, shall use a single-core, flexible, heavy-duty H07RN-F hose line according to EN 50525-2-21, or a cable which is at least equivalent to this as the cable type. NOTE Cables with H07RN-F or NSSHU designations comply with these requirements. B.1.3 Layout When laying out the cables, the weig
45、hts given in Annex C shall be observed, and compliance with the requirements of EU Directive 90/269/EEC shall be ensured depending on the equipment which is present on board the ship. B.2 On-Board Rectifier Unit B.2.1 Components The on-board rectifier unit consists of the following components: Five

B.2.3 Mechanical specifications The on-board rectifier unit housing shall be flame retardant. It shall be prefabricated for permanent installa
49、tion and may not be opened without conventional tools. An on-board rectifier unit for below-deck installation shall be designed to a minimum protective rating of IP22 in accordance with EN 60529. An on-board rectifier unit intended for installation on deck shall be designed to a minimum protective rating of IP55 in accordance with EN 60529. Appropriate technical measures shall be taken to ensure that no inadmissible tension can be applied to the plug-in connections. The on-board rectifier unit shall
