This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 153 “Machinery intended for use with foodstuffs and feed” (Secretariat: DIN, Germany). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (M

    6、echani-cal Engineering Standards Committee), Working Committee NA 060-18-04 AA Grokchenmaschinen of Section Nahrungsmittelmaschinen. Stakeholders were involved in the development of the standard. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the new “

    7、Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, and which apply to machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of that directive. Once this standard is cited in the Official Jou

    8、rnal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The European Standards referred to in Clause 2 and in the Bibliography of the EN have

    9、 been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number. The English reference version contains an error that has been corrected here: In Subclause 7.2, items e) and f) have been corrected. Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 14957:2007-05 as follows: a) the

    10、 standard has been brought in line with the new Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC; b) Clause 2 “Normative references” has been updated; c) (German version only:) A number of corrections have been made to the German text in Subclauses 5.2.1.1, 5.6 and A.7; d) Annex ZB (informative) “Relationship between

    30、DIN EN 14957:2010-11 EN 14957:2006+A1:2010 (E) 5 Introduction This European Standard is a type C standard as stated in EN ISO 12100. The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of this European Standard. When provisi

    31、ons of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. DIN EN 149

    32、57:2010-11 EN 14957:2006+A1:2010 (E) 6 1 Scope 1.1 This European Standard applies to multizones dishwashing-machines with passing through motorized belt (flight type) or rack conveyor. In case of flight type, the loading and unloading areas are part of the machine. The machines covered by this Europ

    33、ean Standard are intended for washing, rinsing and optionally drying the dishes and the kitchen utensils, used in food and catering premises such as restaurants, hotels etc. This European Standard applies to dishwashing machines with conveyor with a linear speed less than or equal to 5 m/min for the

    34、 dishes and kitchen utensils. NOTE Normally the total power of these machines is less than 200 kW. This European Standard deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to dishwashing machines with conveyor, when they are used as intended and under the conditions forese

    35、en by the manufacturer (see Clause 4). This European Standard deals with the hazards which can arise during commissioning, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of the machine. When drawing up this European Standard the following assumptions were made: only trained adult persons operate the mac

    36、hines; the machines are used in adequately illuminated areas. This European Standard, referring for electrical safety to EN 60204-1 with criteria that can be applied to different designs and variants, is mainly intended for machines manufactured in small series. 1.2 This European Standard does not a

    37、pply to: separate mechanical loading and unloading conveyors; chemical dosing devices which are not incorporated into the machine; steam generators; gas heating equipment. 1.3 Noise is not considered to be a significant hazard for these machines. This does not mean that the manufacturer of these mac

    38、hines is absolved from reducing noise and making a noise declaration. Therefore a noise test code is included in Annex A. 1.4 This European Standard is not applicable to dishwashing-machines with conveyor which are manufactured before the date of publication of this European Standard by CEN. 2 Norma
