The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Working Committee NA 060-14-03 AA Extruder of Section Kunststoff- und Gummimaschinen.     5、epresentatives of manufacturers and users of haul-offs, and of the employers liability insurance associations contributed to this standard. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Machinery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC, (valid until 28 De

    6、cember 2009) and the “revised Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to haul-offs that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serves to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirem

    7、ents of the directives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The European S

    8、tandards referred to in clause 2 have been published as the corresponding DIN EN Standards with the same number. Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 1114-3:2001-06 as follows: a) The main element of the title has been modified. b) The foreword has been modified and the main changes compared

    9、 to the previous version have been listed. c) Normative references to EN 292-1:1991 and EN 292-2:1991/A1:1995 have been replaced with EN ISO 12100-1:2003 and EN ISO 12100-2:2003 in the following clauses and subclauses: 2, 5, 5.1.1, 5.1.6, 5.5, Table 2, 7.1 and 7.2. d) Subclause 5.6.2 “Determination

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identic

    25、al text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2009.     31、cument is a type C standard as stated in EN 1070. The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and events are covered are indicated in the scope of this document. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standar

    32、ds, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. 1 Scope This European Standard contains the safety requirements for the design and construction o

    33、f haul-offs used in extrusion lines for processing plastics and rubber for the hazards identified in clause 4. The following kinds of haul-offs are covered: caterpillar haul-offs; belt haul-offs; capstan haul-offs; belt capstan haul-offs; roller haul-offs. The machine begins at the material inlet op

    34、ening and ends at the material outlet. Cutting units which are integrated with or attached to the haul-off are not covered. Take-off devices used at film or sheet lines are not covered. Chemical, toxicological and fire hazards which could occur for example in continuous vulcanisation plants due to t

    35、he materials processed are not dealt with. Unwinding and winding machines are not subject to this standard. They are being dealt with in a separate standard being produced by another working group of CEN/TC 145. This document is not applicable to haul-offs which are manufactured before the date of p

    36、ublication by CEN of this document.
