The primary input, feedback, and use of data by the Resident Engineer or Project Manager establishes the reliability of the information. The informati

    16、on can now be utilized for automatic reporting to the district engineer, division engineer, OCE/HQ, and customers. 1-3. Reporting Concept. AMPRS is the sole source of data for reports to all recipients of Military Construction status reports. Since all the reports are prepared from one data base, OC

    17、E/HQ, divisions, and districts are working with the same information. However, the data base provides each user only the information needed by that user. 1-4. Management Concept. a. General. The AMPRS data base provides information for management purposes. The manner in which the data is utilized is

The day-to-day operating details of the system are contained in the following Engineer Pamphlets: a. AMPRS Data Dictionary (EP 415-345-2) is a dictionary of design and const

    25、ruction terms used in AMPRS. b. AMPRS Users Manaul (EP 415-345-3) provides information to District or Division personnel having responsibility for military design and/or construc- tion activities, and who are directly involved in acquiring, organizing, and coding information for AMPRS. update forms

    26、and correction of errors detected by the system. It prescribes procedures for collecting and entering data into the system. It emphasizes the coding of various input/ c. AMPRS ADP Manual (EP 415-345-4) describes procedural and technical requirements. It sets forth concepts, functions, forms, and cau

    27、tions related to the cyclic processing used to conduct data base maintenance, and provides updating and generation of reports related to military construction programs. 2-2. Organization and Structure. The organization and structure of AMPRS is as defined in AR 18-1, and ER 18-345-1. a. Proponent Ag

    28、ency. The functional proponent is the Construction Division of the Military Programs Directorate (DAEN-MPC). The proponent is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance f the functional system, to include documentation. The proponent is also responsible for promulgating all changes to

    29、the system and its prescribing regulations. b. Assigned Responsible Agency. The assigned responsible agency is the US Army Engineer Automation Support Activity (EASA). EASA is responsible for the design, development, programming, testing, and installatio,n of the ADP system software to support AMPRS

    30、. 1 c. Users Group. An AMPRS users group provides a forum in which AMPRS problems may be identified and resolved. It focuses on the application of AMPRS to management problems, rather than the resolution of ADP problems. consists of at least two representatives from each military district and divisi

Retrieval of data, however, is not immediate, and the turnaround, or duration of wait is dependent on the individual division DPIs support of the interactive retr

By using the Management Data Query System (MDQS), which can be learned by non-ADP qualified personnel, data can be extracted, sorted, arithmetically manipulated, and formatted when a need for certain information arises. Every district ADP center should be capable of writing MDQS q

    38、ueries to retrieve date required by managers. In some locations, programed instruction courses are available within the computer itself which eliminate the need to send Construction/ Engineering Division managers to programing courses.
