GENERAL: Metal building components shall be the product of a recognized metal building man
3、ufacturer. Design with vertical walls and gable single- slope roofs and with single-span single-span or multiple-span structures of one of the following types: Type I Type II - Rigid frame. Type III - Self-framing. - Column with truss or column with beam. frame. Multiple-span structures are building

10、ructural steel members shall be designed in accordance with AISC publication, Specification for the Design, Fabrication, and Erection of Structural Steel for Buildings. Structural cold-formed steel framing members shall be designed in accordance with AIS1 publication, Specification for the Design of
11、 Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members. Aluminum framing and structural members shall conform to the Alum. Assoc. publication, Aluminum Standards and Data, and shall be designed in accordance with the Alum. Assoc. publication, Specifications for Aluminum Structures. Framed openings shall be designed
12、to structurally replace the covering and framing displaced. Welding of steel shall be in accordance with AWS publication Dl.1-85, and welding of aluminum shall be in accordance with The Alum. Assoc. publication, Specifications for Aluminum Structures. 3. INFORMATION DRAWINGS : a. The term “informati
13、on drawings“ includes drawings, diagrams, layouts, schematics, descriptive literature, illustrations, schedules, performance and test data, and similar materials furnished by the Contractor for information only, to explain in detail specific portions of the work required by the contract. , b. The Co
14、ntractor shall coordinate all information drawings and review them for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with contract requirements and shall indicate iis approval thereon as evidence of such coordination and review. Information drawings submitted to the Contracting Officer without evidence of
15、the Contractors approval may be returned for resubmission. c. The Contractor shall submit four copies of all information drawings, to include the following: (list) 4. DESCRIPTIVE DATA: Furnish data for the following items either on the shop drawings or separately: Accessories, each type of flashing,
16、 trim, closures, caps, and similar items; roof and wall covering, configurations and colors available, and one piece of each type to be used, 9 in. long, full width; fasteners; insulation; skylight panel; wall liner; and window, doors, louvers, ventilators, gutters, and downspouts. 5. DELIVERY AND S
17、TORAGE: Deliver materials dry and undamaged, and store out of contact with the ground. Cover materials, except framing and struc- tural members with weathertight coverings and keep dry. Provide good air circulation and protection from surface staining for roof and wall covering s hee t s. 6. BUILDIN
18、G COMPONENTS: 6.1 General: Approved metal building components shall be furnished by an authorized dealer of the manufacturer and shall be the design and quality as designated by that manufacturer. Where components are furnished or erected by other than the authorized building dealer or supplier of t

20、bolts and for erection and connection of framing and structural members. Seal each fastener with a 1/8-in. thick gasket of neoprene or similar weather-resistant, resilient material. The use of self-drilling, self-tapping fasteners with effective power tools by experienced workmen is permitted. 6.3 P
21、anel siding and roofing: Sheet metal covering shall be of gage steel or of inch thick aluminum sheet metal. The steel sheet metal shall be coated with zinc galvanizing and the aluminum sheet metal shall have a colored, factory finish. Sheet metal panel joint configuration shall be scanding-seam for
22、adjacent sheets or interlocking ribs for securing adjacent sheets. Width of sheets with standing-seam configuration shall provide not less than 24 inches of coverage in place; width of sheets with interlocking ribs shall provide not less than 12 inches of coverage in place. Depth of configurations f
23、or roof covering shall be not less than 1 inch. Length of sheets shall be sufficient to cover the entire length of any unbroken roof slope or the entire height of any unbroken wall surface when such slope or height is 30 feet or less. Sheets in excess of 30 feet shall have design provisions for ther
24、mal expansion and contraction. Ridge end of panels and intersections of roofing and vertical surfaces shall have pan-break ends or equivalent metal flashing in addition to profile plug closures. Field cut sheets shall be square cut, except gable end wall sheets may be cut in the shop to correspond t
25、o the roof slope and may have a horizontal joint at the eave line. ,j 6.4 Gutters and downspouts, louvers, and circular and continuous roof ventilators: Furoish louvers with bird insect screens. Furnish roof ventilators with bird insect screens and chain operated dampers. Furnish continuous rnof ven
26、tilators in 8- to 10-ft. long sections braced. at mid length. 6.5 Skylight panels shall oe fabricated from structural plastic sheet conforming to ASTM D 3841-82, Type I, Grade Class , green white and a weight of 8 oz. per square foot. 6.6 Doors: 6.6.1 Hinged doors: Furnish and install steel doors an
27、d frames in accordance with the published recommendations of the Steel Door Institute (SDI) 100-83. Doors and frames shall be Grade III, in the styles and sizes shown. Minor variations in size, to conform to manufacturing standards, will be permitted with written approval. Wood doors and weatherstri
28、pping are specified in SECTION: WOOD DOORS. Hardware is specified in SECTION: BUILDERS HARDWARE. 6.6.2 Garage doors: 6.6.2.1 Sliding garage doors: Furnish metal framed or self-framing metal type sliding garage door. The door shall be constructed of the same type material as the walls, only a heavier
29、 gage is required to provide rigidity. 33、 ft. x degrees F., not greater than 0.05 for roofs or 0.10 for walls. Make “U“-value computation for winter conditions as recommended in ASHRAE Handbook, Fundamentals (1981). Furnish insulation with a facing providing a permeability of i.O 0.1 perm or less when tested in accordance with ASTM E 96-80
34、. Furnish fazng white gray green in color, either of reinforced foil with a vinyl finish or sheet vinyl except unreinforced foil with a natural finish may be used in concealed locations. Furnish insulation with facings and finishes applied in the factory. Do not furnish materials with a flame spread
35、 in excess of 25 or a smoke developed rating in excess of 50 when tested by ASTM E 84-84. Insulation may be either a rigid or semi-rigid board or a blanket type. Apply white, nondusting and nonshedding finish to exposed board type insulation. Furnish exposed blanket type insulation with colored shee

SHOP PAINTING: Clean ferrous surfaces of oil, grease, loose rust, loose mill scale, and other foreign substances and shop prime in accordance with the manufacturers standard system. Paint gutters, downspouts, louvers, ventilators, and 1 in the shop in the manufacturers! standard c
37、olor. 8. FACTORY COLOR FINISH: Wall and roof panels shall be color-coated on both sides at the factory. Surfaces shall be prepared for coating by thoroughly cleaning, pretreating, and priming, to provide a film which is , compatible with the metal surface and the colored finish. Color coating shall
38、consist of a pigmented synthetic resin base coating that has been suitaoly plasticized and stabilized against heat and light. Dry-film coating thickness of the color-coat shall be noc less than 0.8 mil for exterior surface finish and not less than 0.5 mil for interior surface finish. The exterior ti
39、nishing system shall meet the quality standards specified in The Aluminum Association (AA) Aluminum Standards and Data (Jun 19821, except that for salt spray resistance exposure shall be 450 hours and maximum undercutting . from the scored line shall not exceed 1/8 inch. 40、from manufacturers standard colors. (n) 9. ERECTION: 9.1 General: Erect in accordance with the manufacturers approved erection instructions and diagrama except as specified otherwise. Fasten insulation retainers securely. 9.7 Louvers and ventilators: Attach to the supporting construction and calk or seal for a raintight installation. 10. FIE
49、LD PAINTING: Wire brush and touch up abraded or corroded spots on shop-painted surfaces immediately upon detection. Use the same material as was used for the shop coat. Paint outdoor exposed shop-primed ferrous surfaces and primed surfaces of doors and windows with two coats of an approved exterior enamel. Touch-up factory color finished surfaces with the manufacturer?s recommended paint where damaged or ab
