The CGSB is engaged in the production of voluntary standards in a wide range of subject areas through the media of standards committees and the consensus process The standards committees are composed of representatives of relevant interests including producers, consumers and other user

    4、s, retailers, governments, educational institutions, technical, profesional and trade societies, and research and testing organizations Any given standard is developed on the consensus of views expressed by such representatives.     6、dition to standards it publishes as national standards, the CGSB produces standards to meet particular needs, in response to requests from a variety of sources in both the public and private sectors. Both CGSB standards and national standards developed by the CGSB are developed in conformance with t

    7、he policies described in the Policy Manual for the Development and Maintenance of Standards by CGSB. CGSB standards are subject to review and reon at any time, so as to ensure that they keep abreast of technological progress. Suggestions for their improvement, which are always welcome, should be bro

    8、ught to the notice of the standards committees concerned. Changes to standards are bued either as separate amendment sheets or in new editions of standards. An uptodate listing of CGSB standards, including details on latest bues and amendments, and ordering instructions, will be found in the CGSB Ca

    9、talogue which is published annually and is available without charge upon request. Although the intended primary application of this standard is stated in its Scape, it is important to note that it remains the responsibility of the users of the standard to judge its suitability for their particular p

    28、 of July 1977 FOREWORD This method provides for colour assessment under three common types of lighting conditions. Previous issues of this method contained only one type of light source. For standards and specifications dated previous to 1989, only the north-sky daylight conditions shali be used. PU

    29、RPOSE AND SCOPE This method describes a procedure developed for colour matching of textiles. Three different types of light sources are provided. These are intended to simulate north-sky daylight, incandescent lighting and commercial (minus red) fluorescent lighting. The testing and evaluation of a

    30、product against this method may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous. This document does not purport to address all the safety aspects associated with its use. Anyone using this method has the responsibility to consult the appropriate authorities and to establish app

    31、ropriate health and safety practices in conjunction with any existing applicable regulatory requirements prior to its use. PRINCIPLE Colours are assessed with specified light incident on the fabric at a prescribed angle. APPARATUS Light Source For North-Sky Daylight - C75 full spectrum fluorescent t

    32、ube with a colour temperature of 7500 tr 700 K. For Incandescent Lighting - Incandescent bulbs having a colour temperature of 2300 I 200 K (Note 1). For Minus Red Fluorescent Lighting - Cool white fluorescent tube having a correlated temperature of 4400 f 300 K. Viewing Booth (Note 2) PROCEDURE Matc

    33、hing shali be Bone under an illumination of not less than 600 lx and not more than 3200 lx. The light is incident upon the viewing surfaces at an angle of approximately 45“, and the direction of viewing is approximately along the perpendicular to the plane of the surfaces. Note 1: This is the type o

    34、f light obtainedfrom household-type incandescent bulbs with 110 to 120 V rating when operated at half voltage. Note 2: The Macbeth booth is available from J.B.     36、arranged so that the light source is not directly visible to the operator. The side and rear walls of the booth should be painted neutral grey matching Munsell N5 as closely as possible. The table or surface on which the matching is done shall be either: coloured grey of a depth of shade similar to

    37、that of the textiles being matched or covered with a textile material of similar type and colour to those being matched.
