Cable facility pair reference A Cable facility pair reference is a role of a subordinate Cable facility pair that identifies the superior Cable facility pair to which it belongs. Carrier facility As defined

29、 in ATIS-0300097.2008, “a transmission facility that provides several telecommunications channels over a single bidirectional path. A carrier facility generally consists of multiplex equipment at two terminal locations and an interconnection path consisting of: (1) a higher level facility system; (2

30、) a facility assembly; or (3) combinations of carrier facility systems and facility assemblies,” where facility is defined as “a physical or derived telecommunications path between two locations, which can be intraoffice as well as interoffice. A facility is bounded by its transmission signal input

31、to its equivalent transmission signal output, or its point of termination at another operating or interconnecting telephone company. A facility has the same capacity at each end and normally carries assignable channels, pairs, or time slots.” Facility assembly is defined as “a group of interconnecte

32、d equipment and transmission media uniquely identified and dedicated to a specific type of service.” The Carrier facility object class is introduced so that it can be referenced for use as Trail Local identifier. Carrier facility is not an M.1401 or PNR object class. ATIS-0300097.2008 identifies a C

33、arrier facility by an attribute group according to the Carrier Facility Format. “This format shall consist of a sequence of Facility Designation Code, Facility Type Code, Location A Code and Location Z Code data units, resulting in a code that totals 33 characters.” Carrier Facility Format Facility

34、designation code As defined in ATIS-0300097.2008, “a code that, for a specific type of facility, uniquely identifies a path between two network nodes. This data element shall consist of one to five characters, each of which may be alphabetic or numeric.” ATIS-0300007.2007 6 Facility type code As def

35、ined in ATIS-0300097.2008, “a code that describes the type of facility when it is other than a single baseband channel on cable. (Identification of cable facilities does not require the use of this code.) This data element shall consist of one to six characters, each of which may be alphabetic or nu

36、meric.” Location A Code As defined in ATIS-0300097.2008, “a standardized code that uniquely identifies the location of a facility terminal (i.e., lower in alphabetic sequence of the two facility terminal location codes), which is the telecommunications service company site at which equipment or pers

37、onnel are located, the function of equipment or personnel at the site, or a customers presence at a location at which network elements or network systems equipment exists. This data composite shall consist of either eight or eleven characters, as allowed by the requirements of ATIS-0300253.2005.” Lo

Carrier facility ch/timeslot Channel is defined in ATIS-0300097.2

40、008 as “a unit is assignable inventory within a carrier facility system. Channels may sometimes be referred to as assignment slots.” Timeslot is defined as “a cyclic time period that can be recognized and uniquely defined.” The Carrier facility ch/timeslot object class is introduced so that it can b

A Carrier facility ch/timeslot can also be referred to for the routing of a Circuit or Special services circuit or another Carrier facility ch/timeslot via Connecting Facility Assignment (CFA). Carrier facility ch/timeslot is not an M.1401 or P

ATIS-0300097.2008 identifies a Carrier facility channel timeslot by an attribute group according to the Carrier Facility with Channel/Time Slot Identification Format. “This format shall consist of a sequence of Facility Designation Code, Facility Type Code, Channel/Pair/Time Slot Co

Facility type code As defined for Carrier Facility

44、Format. Location A Code As defined for Carrier Facility Format. Location Z Code As defined for Carrier Facility Format. Channel/Pair/Time Slot Code As defined in ATIS-0300097.2008, “a standardized code that identifies a specific assignable portion of a facility. (This data element is not used when i

45、dentifying the entire facility.) This data element shall consist of one to five characters, each of which may be alphabetic or numeric. For open wire this field is used to identify the associated crossarm pin numbers by using a virgule (i.e., /) to separate the numbers.” Connecting facility assignme

46、nt A Connecting facility assignment is a role of a subordinate Carrier facility ch/timeslot that identifies the superior Carrier facility ch/timeslot on which it is routed (i.e., in ATIS terminology ”the provider carrier system and channel to be used from a Wideband Analog, High Capacity or Optical

47、Network facility”). Circuit Circuit, in terms of Rec. M.1400 is a telephone-type circuit that utilizes capacity of a Carrier facility ch/timeslot or Cable facility pair on which it is routed. A telephone-type circuit is identified according to the ATIS-0300097.2008 Message Trunk Format. Message trun
