ASTM C659-1990(2008) Standard Specification for Asbestos-Cement Organic-Foam Core Insulating Panels《石棉水泥塑料泡沫夹心绝热板的标准规范》.pdf

1、Designation: C 659 90 (Reapproved 2008)Standard Specification forAsbestos-Cement Organic-Foam Core Insulating Panels1This standard is issued under the fixed designation C 659; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the yea

2、r of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval. This standard has been approved for use by agencies of the Department of Defense.1. Scope1.1 This specification covers asbest

3、os-cement plastic-foamcore panels consisting of a core of insulating cellular plasticsandwiched between and bonded to two sheets of asbestos-cement facing board. Asbestos-cement plastic-foam core pan-els are normally nonload-bearing panels designed for exteriorand interior walls, partitions, curtain

4、 walls, and other insulationand decorative purposes.1.2 All measurements and tests necessary for determiningthe conformity of asbestos-cement plastic-foam core panelswith this specification are made in accordance with the testmethods covered in Sections 6 and 10.1.3 The values stated in SI units are

5、 to be regarded as thestandard. The values stated in parentheses are provided forinformation only.1.4 WarningBreathing of asbestos dust is hazardous.Asbestos and asbestos products present demonstrated healthrisks for users and for those with whom they come into contact. In addition to other precautio

6、ns, when working with asbestos-cement products, minimize the dust that results. For informa-tion on the safe use of chrysoltile asbestos, refer to “Safe Useof Chrysotile Asbestos: A Manual on Preventive and ControlMeasures.”21.5 This standard does not purport to address all of thesafety concerns, if

7、 any, associated with its use. It is theresponsibility of the user of this standard to establish appro-priate safety and health practices and determine the applica-bility of regulatory limitations prior to use. See 1.4 for aspecific hazard warning.2. Referenced Documents2.1 ASTM Standards:3C 220 Spe

Materials and Manufacture4.1 Asbestos-cement plastic-foam core sandwich panelsshall be composed of a plastic-foam core sandwiched betweenand bonded to two asbestos-cement facing

12、 sheets. The sheetsmay be supplied with a factory-applied finish, a factory primecoat, or uncoated. In order to provide a balanced panel andprevent field warpage, the two asbestos-cement facings shouldhave essentially equal vapor transmission rates.5. 18、 but on theadhesive, facing sheets, and the coating on such facings. Thevapor permeabilities shown in Table 2 are typical values for thecore materials and are not restrictive values for the compositepanel.5.5 Thermal Resistance, RThe average thermal resis-tance, R, = 5 Fft = 2h/Btu (Km = 2/W) = 6 of

Dimensional Measurements6.1 S

Average the four measur

Dimensions, Mass, and Permissible Variations7.1 Asbestos-cement plastic-foam core panels are normallysupplied in the commercial dimensions given in Table 4.However, because of the frequent use of other thicknesses, thescope of this specification is not

23、limited to only the morecommon thicknesses.7.2 Permissible Variation in Dimensions:7.2.1 ThicknessThe permissible variation of any indi-vidual panel from the nominal thickness shall be 61.2 mm (364in.).7.2.2 Width and LengthThe permissible variation of anyindividual panel from the nominal length and

    24、 width shall be63.2 mm (18 in.) and 61.6 mm (116 in.), respectively, asmeasured after 48 h at 23 6 2C (70 to 77F) and 50 6 5%relative humidity.7.2.3 SquarenessThe deviation from squareness shall notexceed 1.3 mm/m (164 in./ft) of width or length. The recom-mended tools for measuring squareness are a

Workmanship, Finish, and Appearance8.1 WorkmanshipPanels shall have a commercially ac-ceptable surface on both sides and be free of major defects thatwill impair appearance, erection, use, or serviceability.8.2 FinishThe surface on both sides of the panel ma
