Scope1.1 This specification covers spray-formed seamless auste-nitic stainless steel pipe intended for high-t

    11、es of a metallic material by deposition of a spray,consisting of droplets, solid particles, and particles that arepartially solid, onto a moving substrate.3.2.1.1 DiscussionThe spray is produced by gas atomiza-tion of the liquid metal or alloy. On impingement with thesubstrate, the species of the sp

    12、ray consolidate and solidifycompletely to produce a product that is essentially free ofporosity. The metallurgical characteristics of the spray-formedproduct are controlled primarily by the thermal condition of thespray, and that of the surface of the metallic deposit formed onthe substrate.1This sp

General Requirements5.1 Material furnished under this specification shall con-form to the applicable requirements of the current edition ofSpecification A999/A999M unless otherwise provided herein.6. Materials and Manufacture6.1 MeltingThe steel shall be made by

    37、the electric-furnaceprocess or by other similar processes. The primary meltingmay incorporate separate degassing or refining and may befollowed by secondary melting, using electroslag remelting orvacuum-arc remelting. If secondary melting is employed, theheat shall be defined as all of the ingots re

    38、melted from a singleprimary heat.6.1.1 If a specified type of melting is required by thepurchaser, it shall be stated on the purchase order.6.1.2 When specified on the purchase order, or when aspecific type of melting has been specified, the materialmanufacturer shall include with the report require

    39、d by the HeatAnalysis section of this specification or the Certificationsection of Specification A999/A999M the type of melting usedto produce the material.6.2 Pipe Manufacture:6.2.1 The pipe shall be made by the spray forming processusing the steel from the electric steel process or other similarpr

    40、ocesses as in 6.1.6.2.2 The pipe shall be made by spraying the melt on to athin-walled collector tube. The as-spray formed pipe shall bemachined on both the inner and outer surfaces. The remainingmetal shall be homogeneous, sound, and meet the requirementsof Section 11.6.2.3 Unless specified by the

    41、purchaser, pipe may be fur-nished as-spray formed or as-spray formed and cold finished.6.2.4 All pipe shall be furnished in the descaled conditionand be free of contaminating iron particles. Pickling, blastingor surface finishing is not mandatory when pipe is brightannealed. The purchaser may reques

    42、t that a passivating treat-ment be applied.6.3 Heat Treatment:6.3.1 All pipe shall be furnished in the heat-treated condi-tion. The heat-treatment procedure, except for “H” grades,S30815 and S31254, shall consist of heating the pipe to aminimum temperature of 1900F 1040C and quenching inwater or rap

    43、idly cooling by other means.6.3.2 All H grades shall be furnished in the solution-treatedcondition. If cold working is involved in processing, theminimum solution treating temperature for Grades TP321H,TP347H, and TP348H shall be 2000F 1100C and forGrades TP304H, and TP316H, 1900F 1040C. If the HGra

    44、de is furnished in the spray-formed condition only, theminimum solution treating temperatures for Grades TP321H,TP347H, and TP348H shall be 1925F 1050C, and forGrades TP304H, and TP316H, 1900F 1040C. The mini-mum solution treating temperature for S30815 shall be 1920F1050C. The minimum solution trea

    45、ting temperature forTP309H, TP309HCb, TP310H, and TP310HCb shall be1900F 1040C.6.3.3 The heat-treatment procedure for S31254 shall consistof heating the pipe to a minimum temperature of 2100F1150C and quenching in water or rapidly cooling by othermeans.6.3.4 A solution annealing temperature above 19

    46、50F1065C may impair the resistance to intergranular corrosionafter subsequent exposure to sensitizing conditions inTP309HCb, TP310HCb, TP321, TP321H, TP347, TP347H,TP348, and TP348H. When specified by the purchaser, a lowertemperature stabilization or re-solution anneal shall be usedsubsequent to th

    47、e initial high temperature solution anneal (seeSupplementary Requirement S6).6.4 Grain Size:6.4.1 The grain size of TP304H, TP316H, TP321H,TP347H and TP348H, as determined in accordance with TestMethods E112, shall be ASTM No. 7 or coarser.6.4.2 The grain size of TP309H, TP309HCb, TP310H andTP310HCb

    48、, shall be ASTM No. 6 or coarser.7. Chemical Composition7.1 The steel shall conform to the requirements as tochemical composition prescribed in Table 1.8. Product Analysis8.1 At the request of the purchaser, an analysis of two pipesfrom each lot shall be made by the manufacturer. A lot of pipeshall

    49、consist of the following number of lengths of the samesize and wall thickness from any one heat of stainless steel:NPS Designator Lengths of Pipe in LotUnder 22 to 5 200 or fraction thereof6 and over 100 or fraction thereof8.2 The results of these analyses shall be reported to thepurchaser or the purchasers representative, and shall conformto the requirements specified in Section 7.8.3 If
