    8、f American National Standard ANSI/ISEA 101-2014) This standard provides minimum size, packaging and labeling requirements for limited-use and disposable coveralls. Garments covered under this standard are used in a variety of workplaces including grain and milling operations, automotive repair, pain

    9、ting and dry chemical applications, abrasive blasting, food processing and construction work. The standard also provides guidance on the proper size selection of such garments. This ANSI/ISEA 101-2014 standard updates the 1996 edition by expanding the sizing chart to accommodate a majority of the wo

    10、rking population who utilize such garments. In addition, the Appendix details a set of tests designed to validate the sizing of a garment selected for a worker based on height and weight. ANSI/ISEA 101-2014 was processed and approved using consensus procedures prescribed by the American National Sta

    11、ndards Institute (ANSI). The following organizations were contacted prior to the approval of this standard. Inclusion in this list does not necessarily imply that a listed organization concurred with the submittal of the proposed standard to ANSI. American Coatings Association Argus Hazco Atlas Indu

    13、quirements 6.1 Label Type Each package shall be marked legibly. 6.2 Label Content For each package, the following information shall be provided, in at least English: (1) Name of manufacturer or other means of identification of the manufacturer; (2) Size designation; (3) Number of this specific stand

    14、ard, (ANSI/ISEA 101-2014); (4) Fabric identification; and (5) Number of garments in the package. Sizing Test P

    19、rotocol for Garment Selection A.1 Sizing Chart (See Figure A-1) Knowing an individuals height and weight will enable the user to have a starting point in proper size selection. Recommendations for sizing, based on height and weight, are included as Figure A-1. A.2 Test Protocol A.2.1 Validating Size

    20、 Use the test movements in Section A.2.3 to validate the size selection for the garment. Prior to conducting the test protocol, the test subject shall select one of the options in Section A.2.2 to secure the arm and leg ends. A.2.2 Options for Securing the Garment A.2.2.1 Option A. Test protocol is

    21、conducted with coveralls that do not have arm and leg ends fixed to the wearer. If the garment has boots and/or hood, these shall be used in correct position during the test program. A.2.2.2 Option B. Test protocol is conducted with arm and leg ends taped to the wearer. Tape shall be attached in suc

    22、h a manner that the ends of the coverall arm and leg do not change position on the wearer. To tape the wrist, position the coverall sleeve end on the wrist bone of the wearer. Tape the coverall in. (12.7 mm) above the sleeve and wrist bone. To tape the leg, position the coverall leg end on the ankle

    23、 bone of the wearer. Tape the coverall in. (12.7 mm) above the leg end and ankle bone. If the coverall has a hood it shall be worn properly during the test protocol. A.2.3 Test Movements (1) Kneel on both knees, lean forward and place both hands on the floor 18 in. (45.7 cm) in front of the knees. C

    24、rawl forward 10 feet (3.05 m) on hands and knees. (2) Climb ladder at least four steps. (3) Position hands at chest level with palms out. Reach directly overhead, interlock thumbs, extend arms upward. (4) At right thigh area, lift pant leg slightly and kneel on right knee. Place sole of left foot on

    25、 floor with left knee bent 90 degrees. Touch thumb of right hand to toe of left shoe. Repeat exercise using the alternate side of the body. (5) Extend arms fully in front of body, lock thumbs together, twist upper body 90 degrees left and right. (6) Stand with feet shoulder width apart, arms at side

    26、s. Raise arms until they are parallel to floor in front of body. Squat down as far as possible. (7) Kneel as in Movement (4), left arm hanging loosely at side. Fully extend right arm overhead. Repeat the exercises using the alternate side of the body. A.3 Evaluation Upon completion of the test program using Option A or B, inspect the garment for tears or rips in both the fabric and the seams.
