    3、oices for multiple-finger codes, resolves minor inconsistencies, and clarifies ambiguities.Approval of an American National Standard requires review by ANSI that the requirements for due pro-cess, consensus, and other criteria for approval have been met by the standards developer.Approval of an Amer

    4、ican National Standard requires review by ANSI that therequirements for due process, consensus, and other criteria for approval havebeen met by the standards developer.Consensus is established when, in the judgement of the ANSI Board ofStandards Review, substantial agreement has been reached by dire

    5、ctly andmaterially affected interests. Substantial agreement means much more thana simple majority, but not necessarily unanimity. Consensus requires that allviews and objections be considered, and that a concerted effort be madetowards their resolution.The use of American National Standards is comp

    6、letely voluntary; theirexistence does not in any respect preclude anyone, whether he has approvedthe standards or not, from manufacturing, marketing, purchasing, or usingproducts, processes, or procedures not conforming to the standards.The American National Standards Institute does not develop stan

    25、d left hand respectively. Code 15 from table 5 is the code for accommodating the simultaneous capture of the two thumbs. Additional Codes to accommodate the simultaneous capture of common 2-finger and 3-finger combinations from standalone or mobile identification devices are defined in Table 5a. Thi

    26、s table also defines the minimum areas and dimensions for each combination. Codes for palm mages are f ound in table 6. For full palms the cap tured area should extend from the “wrist bracelet“ through the second joint of the fingers. Similarly, the captured area of the upper palm should extend from

    27、 the interdigital area through the second joint of the fingers. The lower palm will cover the area from the “wrist bracelet“ through the interdigital area.
