However, IEEE does not provide consulting information or advice pertain- ing to IEEE Standards documents. Suggestions for changes in documents should be in the form

Since IEEE standards represent a consensus of concerned interests, it is important that any responses to comments and questions also receive the concur- rence of a balance of interests. For this reason, IEEE and the member

For the same reason, IEEE does not respond to interpretation requests. Any person who would like to pa

Introduction This introduction is not part of IEEE Std C37.122.4-2016, IEEE Guide for Application and User Guide for Gas- Insulated Transmission Lines, Rated 72.5 kV and Above. Gas-insulated line (GIL)
42、has been manufactured starting in the early 1970s when the first gas-insulated substa- tions were introduced. IEEE has not had any standard to address any manufacturing of GIL. To address IEEE policy that IEEE standards should be harmonized with international standards whenever possible, a study was conducted by a joint task force of the Substations Committee and the International Electrotechnical Commis- sion (IEC). This included creating an IEEE Standard that generally aligned with the IEC GIL standards.
