    24、 panelboard on load side, with ground lead bonded to service entrance ground. B. Install TVSS devices for panelboards and auxiliary panels with conductors or buses between suppressor and points of attachment as short and straight as possible. Do not exceed manufacturers recommended lead length. Do n

    25、ot bond neutral and ground. 1. Provide a circuit breaker, sized by manufacturer, as a dedicated disconnecting means for TVSS unless otherwise shown on drawings.     26、 TESTS A. Perform in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations. Include the following visual and mechanical inspections and electrical tests: 1. Visual and Mechanical Inspection a. Compare equipment nameplate data with specifications and approved shop drawings. b. Inspect physical, electrica

    27、l, and mechanical condition. c. Verify that disconnecting means and feeder size and maximum to TVSS unit correspond to approved shop drawings. d. Verifying tightness of accessible bolted electrical connections by calibrated torque-wrench method. e. Clean TVSS unit. f. Complete startup checks accordi

    28、ng to manufacturers written instructions. g. Verify the correct operation of all sensing devices, alarms, and indicating devices. 3.3 STARTUP A. Do not energize or connect switchgear, switchboards, or panelboards to their sources until TVSS devices are installed and connected. B. Do not perform insu

    29、lation resistance tests of the distribution wiring equipment with the TVSS installed. Disconnect before conducting insulation resistance tests, and reconnect immediately after the testing is over. 3.4 SPARE PARTS A. Furnish extra materials that match products installed and that are packaged with pro

    30、tective covering for storage and identified with labels describing contents. 1. Replaceable Protection Modules: One of each size and type installed. 3.5 INSTRUCTION Provide factory certified technician to train Government maintenance personnel to maintain TVSS devices. Training shall be provided for

    31、 a total period of 4 hours of normal working time and shall start after the system is functionally complete but prior to final acceptance test.
