The standard may not use all types of these deviations. DR - These are differences based on the National Electrical Cod
19、e (NEC) and other U.S. Regulatory Requirements. D1 - These are differences which are based on basic safety principles and requirements, elimination of which would compromise safety for U.S. consumers and users of products. Requirements related to these National Differences are based on North America
20、n regulatory requirements and are specified in Annex NAE. D2 - These are differences based on safety practices. These are differences for IEC requirements that may be acceptable, but adopting the IEC requirements would require considerable retesting or redesign on the manufacturers part. Some of the
21、se National Differences are Markings and Instructions Requirements and are specified in Annex NAA. D3 These are national differences based on bi-national requirements which result in less stringent requirements than in IEC 60950-1. 33、t might apply to some equipment. Applicability of these requirements is dependent on the construction of the equipment and its intended installation and use. This annex is not intended to provide a complete list of all of the applicable requirements, only to serve as a reference for requirements tha
34、t most commonly apply to this type of equipment. The National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, covers equipment installed on public and private premises, including buildings, structures, mobile homes, recreational vehicles, floating buildings, yards, lots, parking lots, carnivals, and industrial subst
35、ations. Installation of outdoor equipment in a communications utilitys outside plant is covered by the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), ANSI/IEEE C2. For complete requirements, the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, the National Electrical Safety Cod
36、e (NESC), ANSI/IEEE C2, or other referenced document must be consulted.
