In the case of a process tube on a compressor, the color mark shallextend at least 2.5 cm (1 inch) from the compressor.RATIONALE FOR DECISION:On December 20, 2011, the EPA published their Final Rule pertaining to the
19、use of hydrocarbonrefrigerants in household and retail (commercial) refrigeration equipment. The rule allows for the use ofisobutane, propane, and R-441A refrigerants in self-contained new equipment, subject to various useconditions. This CRD contains the revisions that are necessary to align the re
20、quirements of UL 250 withthe EPAs Final Rule. Note that UL 250 will allow for the use of additional types of flammable refrigerants, even though the Final Rule only allows R-600a (Isobutane) and R-441A.In addition, the monitoring time for the protected cooling system leakage test is being changed to
21、24 hoursto be consistent with the requirement in IEC 60335-2-24.Copyright 2012 Underwriters Laboratories Inc.UL, in performing its functions in accordance with its objectives, does not guarantee or warrant thecorrectness of Certification Requirement Decisions it may issue or that they will be recogn
