    8、 live parts10.2.1 A connector of Types 1A, 2, 3, 3A, 4 or 4A intended for usage external to the end equipment shallhave live parts protected against exposure to contact by persons when assembled, installed and matedas intended, as determined by the use of the probe shown in Figure 10.1.10.2.2 Mating

    9、 devices of Types 1A, 2, 3, 3A, 4 or 4A intended for usage external to the end equipmentshall not have exposed live contacts during engagement or withdrawal as determined by the use of theprobe shown in Figure 10.1.11 Spacings11.1 For devices as specified in Table 11.1 there shall be a minimum spaci

    10、ng through air and over surfaceof 1.2 mm (3/64 inch) for a device rated 250 volts or less, and a minimum of 3.2 mm (1/8 inch) for a devicerated more than 250 volts, between an uninsulated live part and:a) An uninsulated live part of opposite polarity;b) An uninsulated grounded metal part; orc) A non

    19、NEC was revised in 2014 to raise the long-accepted threshold of 600 V to1000 V.
