19、 included in the maximum load of small craft without exceeding the limits set by other ISO standards for stability, freeboard, flotation and crew. It further sets requirements for seating of crew members. This International Standard applies to small craft with a length of hull of up to in accordance
20、 with ISO 8666. 27、commodated NOTE For dinghies in design category C and D, the deck area beside the cockpit may be used for this purpose. 4 Maximum number of persons The manufacturers recommended maximum number of persons to be carried when the craft is underway shall not exceed a) the number of persons for which the
28、 boat has successfully passed the requirements for freeboard, stability and flotation, in accordance with ISO 12217-1, ISO 12217-2 and ISO 12217-3; b) the number of persons for which seating space is assigned by the manufacturer with dimensions as defined in 3.2 and 3.3. 5 Maximum load The term “max
29、imum load” is to be understood as the “manufacturers recommended maximum load”. This shall not exceed the total load that may be added to the light craft mass in accordance with ISO 8666 without exceeding the requirements for stability, freeboard, flotation in accordance with ISO 12217-1, ISO 12217-
30、2 and ISO 12217-3, and seating requirements and shall take into account the boat design category. As a minimum it shall take account of the mass of the following: a) the number of persons at each according to clause 4. Where children are carried as part of the crew the maximum number of persons may
31、be exceeded provided that each childs mass does not surpass a limit of and the total persons mass is not exceeded; b) basic equipment of , but not less than ; c) stores and cargo (if any), dry provisions, consumable liquids not covered by d) or e), and miscellaneous equipment not included in the lig
32、ht craft mass or in b); d) consumable liquids (fresh water, fuel) in portable tanks filled to the maximum capacity; e) consumable liquids (fresh water, fuel) in permanently installed tanks filled to the maximum capacity; f) a liferaft or dinghy when intended to be carried. 6O w n e r s m a n u a l 6
