19、e following apply. 3.1 acceptable acceptable to the authority administering this standard, or to the parties concluding the purchase contract, as relevant 3.2 lot not less than 20 and not more than 300 pieces of fabric of the same type and width, woven on the same type of loom, made by one manufactu
20、rer, and submitted at any one time for inspection and testing 4 Requirements 4.1 General Nurses woven uniform fabric shall be a) uniformly made in accordance with sound manufacturing practice from clean blended yarns (see 6.1.1), b) of the required type (see table 1 and annex A), c) bleached to an a
21、cceptable white and be singed and heat-set (see 6.1.1 and annex A), and d) delivered in a clean and commercially dry condition (see 6.1.1). SANS 1183:2008 Edition 2.1 5 4.2 Colour and colour match The colour of the nurses woven uniform fabric (see 6.1.1) shall be an acceptable match, in terms of SAN
22、S 10076-1, to the bleached white required (see annex A). 4.3 Selvedges The selvedges (see 6.1.1) shall comply with the relevant requirements given in SANS 1270. 4.4 Width The width (between selvedges) of nurses woven uniform fabric, when measured in accordance with 6.1.2, subject to the relevant tol
23、erances given in SANS 977, shall be 115 cm or 150 cm, as required (see annex A). 4.5 Piece length Unless otherwise required (see annex A), the length of each piece, when measured in accordance with 6.1.2, shall be at least 55 m, subject to the relevant tolerances given in SANS 977. 4.6 Bow and skewn
24、ess of weft The mean bow and the mean skewness of the weft, when measured in accordance with 6.1.2, shall not, in either case, exceed 3 %, and neither the bow nor the skewness shall, at any part of the fabric, exceed 7 %. 4.7 Fibre composition When determined in accordance with 6.3, the fibre compos
25、ition of the nurses woven uniform fabric shall comply with the relevant requirements given in table 1. 4.8 Weave The weave of the nurses woven uniform fabric, when visually examined in accordance with 6.1.1, and determined in accordance with 6.4, shall be as given in table 1, appropriate to the type
26、 of fabric required. 4.9 Fabric When tested in accordance with 6.5 to 6.11 (inclusive), the finished nurses woven uniform fabric shall comply with the requirements given in table 1, appropriate to the type. 4.10 Freedom from defects The assessment and stringing of defects, and the deductions to be m
27、ade for strung and unstrung defects, shall be in accordance with SANS 10076-1, and shall be based on the following LAQs: a) for pieces: 10; and b) for a lot: 8. 31、e standard 5.1 General This clause applies to the sampling for inspection and testing before acceptance or rejection of single lots (consignments) when no information about the implementation of quality control or testing during manufacture is available to help in assessing the quality of the lot. I
32、t is also used as the procedure for adjudicating in cases of dispute. Information on the quality verification of nurses woven uniform fabric is given in annex C. 5.2 Sampling 5.2.1 General The following sampling procedure shall be applied (after the lot has been checked for compliance with clause 7)
33、 to determine whether the lot complies with the remaining requirements of the standard, and the sample for inspection so taken shall be deemed to be representative of the lot. SANS 1183:2008 Edition 2.1 7 5.2.2 Sample for inspection From the lot, take at random 30 pieces or all the pieces (whichever
34、 is less) as the sample for inspection. 5.2.3 Laboratory samples for testing From the lot, or from the sample taken in accordance with 5.2.2, take at random five pieces. From each of the five pieces and from a position taken at random, but at least 3 m from an end of the piece, cut a full-width labo
35、ratory sample of area at least 2 m2. 5.3 Compliance The lot shall be deemed to comply with the requirements of the standard if, after inspection and testing of the laboratory samples taken in accordance with 5.2.3, the laboratory samples are found to comply with all the requirements of the standard.
36、 6 Inspection and methods of test 6.1 Inspection 6.1.1 Divide the number of pieces taken in accordance with 5.2.2 into two equal sets. Visually examine the first set for compliance with the requirements given in 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.8 and 4.10. 6.1.2 Measure each piece in the second set for compliance w
37、ith the requirements given in 4.4, 4.5 and 4.6, using SANS 82, SANS 84 and SANS 5091 to measure the width, the length, and the bow and skewness of the weft respectively. 6.2 Conditioning Condition each laboratory sample (see 5.2.3) in accordance with SANS 70 and then cut from each the test specimens
38、 required for the tests given in 6.3 to 6.11 (inclusive). 6.3 Fibre composition Use SANS 1833-1 and SANS 1833-11. Check for compliance with the relevant requirements of table 1. 6.4 Weave Use visual examination (see 6.1.1) and physical analysis. Check for compliance with the relevant requirements of

42、r compliance with the relevant requirement of table 1. 7 Packing, labelling and marking 7.1 Packing 7.1.1 Unless otherwise required (see annex A), each piece shall be rolled full-width (i.e. unfolded) and face inward on a tube. 7.1.2 Only pieces of the same type and width shall be packed together in
43、 a bulk container. 7.2 Labelling and marking Pieces and bulk containers shall be labelled and marked in accordance with SANS 10153. 7.3 Additional marking When so required (see annex A), pieces or bulk containers (or both) shall bear information additional to that specified in 7.2. 44、ition 2.1 9 Annex A (normative) Notes to purchasers A.1 In addition to data clearly describing the nurses woven uniform fabric ordered, the following requirements shall be specified in tender invitations and in each order or contract: a) the type (see 4.1); b) the colour of the bleached white fabric
45、 required (see 4.2); c) the width (see 4.4); d) the piece length, if other than as specified (see 4.5); e) the method of packing, if other than as specified (see 7.1.1); and f) additional marking, if required (see 7.3). A.2 The order or contract that specifies the requirements listed in A.1 shall be
46、 made available to inspection representatives for inspection purposes when so required. 48、instead of concentrating solely on evaluation of the final product, he also direct his attention to the manufacturers quality system.
