7、4). 1.2 Application These products have been used typically for structural components, including machined parts subject to excessive warpage during machining, but usage is not limited to such applications. 1.2.1 Certain design and processing procedures may cause these products to become susceptible

16、.1 Sheet Solution and precipitation heat treated to temper T6 (see ANSI H35.1/H35.1M). 3.2.2 Plate Solution heat treated, stretched to produce a nominal permanent set of 2% but not less than 1-1/2% nor more than 3%, and precipitation heat treated to temper T651 (see ANSI H35.1/H35.1M). 3.2.2.1 Plate

26、ality The product, as received by purchaser, shall be uniform in quality and condition, sound, and free from foreign materials and from imperfections detrimental to usage of the product. 3.4.1 When specified, each plate 0.500 inch (12.70 mm) and over in nominal thickness shall be ultrasonically insp
27、ected in accordance with ASTM B594 and shall meet the requirements of Table 4, as applicable. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection The producer of the product shall supply all samples for producers tests and shall be responsibl
29、e for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testing deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements. 30、ition (3.1), tensile properties (3.3.1), and tolerances (3.5) and, when specified, ultrasonic soundness (3.4.1) are acceptance tests and except for composition, shall be performed on each lot. 4.2.2 Periodic Tests Bending (3.3.2) is a periodic test and shall be performed at a frequency selected by t
31、he producer unless frequency of testing is specified by purchaser. 4.3 Sampling and Testing Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. 4.4 Reports The producer of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report stating that the product conforms to the composition and tolerances, and showing numerica
32、l results of tests for the other acceptance test requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, lot number, AMS4045L, size, and quantity. The report shall also identify the producer, the product form, and the size of the mill product. 4.4.1 When the product size is outside the ra
33、nge covered by Table 2, the report shall contain a statement to that effect. 4.5 Resampling and Retesting Shall be in accordance with AMS2355. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Identification Shall be in accordance with ASTM B666/B666M. 5.2 Protective Treatment Flat sheet, plate, and circles 12 inches
34、 (305 mm) and over in nominal diameter shall be oiled, prior to shipment, with a light corrosion-inhibiting oil. Circles under 12 inches (305 mm) in nominal diameter shall be protected as agreed upon by purchaser and producer. 5.3 Packaging 5.3.1 The product shall be prepared for shipment in accorda
35、nce with ASTM B660 and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the product to ensure carrier acceptance and safe delivery. 6. ACKNOWLEDGMENT A producer shall mention this specification number and its revision letter in all quot
36、ations and when acknowledging purchase orders. 7. REJECTIONS Product not conforming to this specification, or to modifications authorized by purchaser, will be subject to rejection.
