    5、ironment Test Methods Cross Reference Document RATIONALE The aerospace industry requires precise standards. AIR6282 is intended to provide a cross reference of international, aerospace, telecommunications and military standards for use in the qualification process of fiber optic components. Currentl

    6、y qualifying fiber optic components to aerospace requirements involves referencing test methods that have been prepared for areas not related to the aerospace community. These areas are typically, telecommunication and naval where the test methods and required test results have to be adapted to supp

    7、ort the requirements of qualifying fiber optic components for aerospace. 1. SCOPE This standard provides a cross reference detailing current test methods used in the qualification processes of fiber optic connectors, termini and cables for aerospace, telecommunications and naval applications. The cr

    8、oss-reference allows the end user to select the test methods most suitable for qualifying a component, or to identify alternative test methods where a specific test is not defined in a referenced document. The standard also provides information on what area each type of referenced document has been
