    23、accordance with the latest revision of ANSI C136.6: a) High-intensity discharge lamp ballast and socket assemblies in accordance with Figure 1. b) Mogul and medium multiple incandescent lamp socket and support assemblies in accordance with Figure 2. 1.2 The purpose of this standard is to permit mech

    24、anical interchangeability of the socket support assemblies. 2 NORMATIVE REFERENCES This standard incorporates by undated reference provisions from other publications. These normative references are cited at the appropriate places in the text, and the publications are listed below. For undated refere

    25、nces, the latest edition of the publication referred to applies (including amendments). ANSI C136.6-1997 American National Standard for Roadway and Area Lighting Equipment Metal Heads and Reflector Assemblies Mechanical and Optical Interchangeability. ANSI C136.11-1995 American National Standard for

    26、 Roadway and Area Lighting Equipment Multiple Sockets. 3 GENERAL 3.1 Ballast and Multiple Socket Support Assemblies for ANSI C136.6 Metal Heads 3.1.1 Dimensions of the ballast and the socket assemblies shall be in accordance with Figure 1. 3.1.2 The outside contour of the ballast shall fit within th

    27、e heads meeting the requirements of ANSI C136.6. 3.1.3 Access for a 12.7 mm (.5 in.) bit screwdriver for installation or removal of the ballast shall be provided. 3.1.4 An adequate path for wiring and access for making electrical connections shall be maintained. 3.2 Multiple Socket and Support Assem

    28、blies for ANSI C136.6 Metal Heads Dimensions of incandescent socket and support assemblies shall be in accordance with Figure 2. 3.3 Measurements to the Center of the Socket Measurements to the center of the socket shall be made with the center contact depressed.     29、 2012 by National Electrical Manufacturers Association 3.4 Guarding Electrically Energized Parts Parts that may be electrically energized shall be guarded to prevent accidental contact with parts that may be grounded by design or accident during installation or maintenance of the reflector and lamp.

    30、 4 SOCKETS Sockets shall conform to ANSI C136.11. 5 SOCKET SUPPORTS 5.1 Support bracket materials or protective coatings shall individually and as a system be resistant to atmospheric conditions, including the corrosive and erosive action of conditions of service encountered in industrial and seaboa

    31、rd areas. 5.2 Socket supports shall be designed so that they can be removed from the head by loosening, but not removing, the mounting screws.
