    6、truction methods, and from selection of the best design practices of the Department of Army Corps of Engineers (COE), the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFACENGCOM), other Government agencies, and the private sector. This handbook uses, to the maximum extent feasible, national professional

    7、society, association, and institute standards in accordance with Department of Defense (DOD) policy. Deviations from these criteria should not be made without prior approval of COE or NAVFACENGCOM Headquarters as applicable. Design cannot remain static any more than can the DOD functions it serves o

    8、r the technologies it uses. Accordingly, recommendations for improvement are encouraged from within the Army, the Navy, other Government agencies and from the private sector. Recommendations should be furnished on the DOD form 1426 provided inside the back cover to Commander, Naval Facilities Engine

Public Law 97-214, Title 10 USC, Section 2826 establishes net area limitations for military family housing. a 5 percent maximum increase or decrease in these limitations i

    46、f such a modification will permit a turnkey proposer to offer “off-the-shelf“ designs currently being constructed in the commercial marketplace. The law permits 2.1.1 Net Area Definition. Net area is defined as the space inside the exterior and party walls. Net area excludes: a) Exterior and party w
