    2、vy, and the AT FOTC. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification covers a com- plete closed circuit television system to be used for the transmission of weather infor- mation from a central weather office to twenty (20) receiving points with the capa- bility of expansion. The equipment furnish- ed hereunder shall be of the following type

REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials. 3.1.1 Materials shall be entirely suitable for the intended application and free from all de- fects which may afect the s

    6、erviceability of the equipment. All metal used in cabinets and chassis, and all electrical and electronic com- ponents shall be high grade commercial item as used in standard commercial communica- tions and electronics- equipment. 3.2 Design. 3.2.1 General. The system produced shall conform to the r

    7、equirements of this specifica- tion. This specification gives Sufficient detail to obtain the desired overall physical appear- ance and operating characteristics. The Weathemision System shall consist o a console, remote re- ceiver, audio equipment, and video and audio cable. 3.2.3 Operatittg Conditim. Specified per. formance shall be obtained f

    9、rom the system when operated under the following conditions : (a) Ambient temperature +40”F. to (b) Power source, 117V Minutes in units from 1 to 60. Receiver Selectivity Control w/control light with holding annunciator provision. The VU meter and audio gage control may be included on this panel. 3.

    10、3.4.3 Audo amplifier equipment. Receiver control systems, which will allow the brief- ing console to mute the audio and video of each receiving location, will contain the following : (a) Ten (IO) watt audio amplifier to insure high level low noise level transmission of audio talk back. (b) Push - to

    11、 - talk microphones and (c) Necessary relays, switches, circuits, etc., which will allow muting of the audio of the television re- ceiver when push-to-talk switch is placed in talk position. stand. 3.3.4.4 Mcrophmes. Microphones shall be either low or high impedance dynamic type with a frequency res

    12、ponse substantially flat from 200 to 7,000 cycles. The microphone(s) at the console shall be permanently afxed in operating position. Table stand micro- phones are not acceptable at the console. An on-off microphone switch shall be provided, positioned conveniently for the operator. The mike on-off

    13、switch shall cut out the console speaker and starbstop the tape recorder. 3.3.4.5 Remote control panel. The remote control panel shall provide as follows: (a) Audio level input and output. (b) Microphone push-to-talk switch. (c) Zoom lens controls or lens turret (d) Microphone and headset jacks. con

    14、trols. The remote control panel will be recessed to prevent accidental switching by arm movement, In addition, the following will be provided: (a) Power Distributor Switches (b) Tape Recorder on/off (c) Table lights on/off (d) Direct lights on/off (e) Receiving and Sending Amplifiers on/off (f) Moni

    15、tor on/off (g) Master Console on/off 3.3.4.6 Televisiun camera, camera control anil sync generator mozcnting. The camera and any front surfaced mirror or optical system required to relay the picture infor- mation to the camera shall be rigidiy mounted in such a manner as to give an undistorted camer

    16、a view of the light table, to offer no interference with the weather briefer or the working spaces in or on the console. It shall be designed and constructed to minimize possibilities of misalignments or other damage by personnel in the normal course of using or working around the equip- ment. The s

    17、ync generator shdl be mounted inside the console and in such a manner as to be readily accessible for maintenance. 3.3.4.7 Television camera a 60 cycles, single phase, 275 watts makimum. 3.3.4.10 Console video monitor. This tele- vision monitor must be rack-mounted in the console unit. It shall be a

    18、 14 or 17 inch mon- itor with a Polaroid glass screen to protect the picture tube from console lighting glare. The monitor will have the following specifi- cations : (a) Video Input - Composite (Black negative polarity) 0.35 v (p-p) - 1.4 v (p-p) - Non-composite 0.25 v (p-p) 1.0 v (P-P) (b) Input im

    19、pedance - High impedance bridged (e) Kinescope 17-inch 17BP4-B .14-inch 14CP4-A (d) Frequency Response -+ 1 db tp B mc. - (e) Contrast Control Range - 30 db minimum. or 75 ohms 3.3.4.31 Tape yecorder. The tape recorder must be capable of recording continuously for 24 hours without changing tape and

    20、be an integral part of the console and be lo- cated on the console front in a readily accessible location. The tape must be pre- stamped in increments of one (i) minute to facilitate ease of editing tape for playback and audio loging of briefings. Microphone push-to-talk switch located anywhere in t

    21、he system shall activate the recorder function switch to record. A tape degausser shall be furnished as a separate item. A degausser furnished as an integral part of the recorder operation sequence is not acceptable. Six reels of tape shall be furnished with each unit 3.3.4.12 Console estemal lighti

    22、ng. External lighting shall be provided in addition to the light table. The external lights shall be af- ked in operating position on the console either onto or within the camera mounting structure. Lighting intensity shall be 50 ft candles minimum on the surface of the light table with the internal

    23、 lighting in the off condition. The intensity of this light must be variable and controlled from the opera: tors console. MIL-W-21112B 3.3.4.13 Console w stadTa: All work shall conform to the standards of the National Electrical Manufacturers Associa- tion and the Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. 3.3

    24、.4.13.1 Design and wwkmumhip. The design and construction of all components, assemblies and associated wiring shall re- flect the most modern practice and finest degree of workmanship for this type and class of equipment. Construction and work- manship of components, assembly and wiring not so speci

    25、fied in these specifications shall conform to the highest standards of practice as- regards ease of maintenance, mounting rigidity and neat appearance. All cables must be color coded and laced. No splicing Will be allowed and all connections between assem- blies and/or equipments must be made by plu

    26、gs or terminal blocks, convenience outlets shall be provided. 3.3.4.14 Zoom lem. A zoom lens will be mounted on the camera which will accommo- date the range of charts used in the briefing. This zoom lens shall have a vai-focal length of 5 to 1 (30 mm to 150 mm). It shall have an aperture range of f

    27、/2.3 to f/22 and main- tain a fixed aperture and setting over the full range of zoom. Focus shall be constant over the entire range of zoom. 3.3.4.15 Vdeo automatic level control. The system shall be furnished with automatic control of the video level. This may be ac- complished by either a separate

    28、 video auto- matic gain control amplifier or by automatic control of the beam and/or target within the camera/camera control unit. The video out- put sibal shall vary no more than + 1.2db with a change in reflected light rates of 4 t 1 when measured at camera or AGC am- plifier output as applicable.

The remaining buttons shall have no connections. 3,3.4,17 Monitor speuiter ancl clock panel. A monitor speaker w

    31、ill be provided to mon- itor all incoming audio signals and tape re- corder playbacks. This speaker will be muted when the headset-microphone assembly is plugged into the remote control panel. A direct reading %-hour clock will be mounted in plain view of the weather briefer, Time will be indicated

    32、as follows: Hours in units from I to 24; minutes in units 1 to 60. 3.4 Video and Audio Equipment at Re= mote Receiving Points. 3.4.1 Type I oe7teTal requirentents. The re- mote video monitors and associated send- receive audio equipment shall be completely self-contained with the exception of the mi

    33、- crophone and speakers at each location, The equipment shall be capable o? 24-hour per day operation and all components shall be readily accessible for maintenance and ad- justment, The video monitor may be a stand- ard commei*cial television receiver modified to accept video signal input. A microphone push- to-talk switch shall be incorporated at each microphone position to silence adjacent speakers to eliminate feedback, Two

    36、 speaker jacks shall be provided at each remote mon- itor position with plugs and 20 feet of speaker cable, The audio amplifiers shall pro- 6 vide sufficient gain from microphone through transmission line to speaker throughout the system without the use of additional ampli- fication in the transmiss

    37、ion line, Frequency response of audio amplifiers shall be 200 to 7,000 cycles and the fact that the Government may have formulated, furniFihed, or in any way supplied the said drawings, specifications, or other data is not to be regarded by implication or otherwise aa in any manner licensing the hol
