W.P. 140V MIMM) This amendment forms a part of Military Specification HIL-V-l5508B, dated 25 January 1971, and is approved for use by the Naval Sea System

    2、s Command, Department of the Navy and is available for use by allDepart- rnents and Agencie6 of the Department of Defenee. PAGE 1 2.1, under “SPECIFICATIONS, MILITARY“: Delete reference to “MIL-D-1000“ and “MIL-D-1000/2“ and subetitute “DOI)ID-1000 - Drawings, Engineering and Associated Lists.“ PAGE

    3、 4 3.3.4.1: Delete and substitute: “3.3.4.1 Body markings. Valve bodies shall have the pressure rating and manufacturers name or trademark cast or forged integral with the valve body. Globe valves shall have a bridge wall marking in addition to the above markings. When necessary, metal stamping ehal

    4、l be permitted in the neck of the valve body or other body or bonnet flange not subjected to high stress in service.“ Add as new paragraph, 3.3.4.2: “3.3.4.2 Identification plates. Valves shall bear an identification plate made of corrosion-resieting steel or brass. Identification plates shall be pe

    5、rmanently fastened to a part of the valve not subjected to working pressure, preferably the yoke and shall include the following data or a epace therefore: Manufacturere name or trademark. Size of valve and rating. Body and bonnet material composition. Valve trim identif ication (STEM-DISC-SEAT). Ma

    6、nufacturere identif ication number (optional). Certification data sheet number or manufacturers MIL-V- 15508 (appropriate revieion letter). Component dentfication number (CID) (if known).
