    2、Agencies of the Department of Defense 1. SCOPE aid used to demonstrate the various types of standard map projections of the earths surface (see 6.1).     6、REMENTS 3.1 Materials.- Unless otherwise specified herein, materials shall be as specifjed on the detail NAVTRADEVCEN Drawing 53080-A. specified herein or on the drawings shall be selected on the basis of compatibility with the established design and suitability for the purpose intended. Materials n

    7、ot 3.2 Design.- The design of the training aid shall conform to NAVTRADEVCEN Drawing 53080-A. 3.2.1 Interchangeabi 1 i ty.- Al 1 parts subassemblies and assemblies having the same part number shall be directly and completely interchangeable with each other in respect to installation and performance,

    8、 regardless of sources from which obtained, without al teration and without selection for fit or performance. 3.3 Construction.-. Construction shall be as shown on NAVTRADEVCEN Drawing 53080-A. 3.4 Details of components.- The training aid consists of the following major components, the details of wh

    9、ich are shown on NAVTRADEVCEN Drawing 53080-A. Map projection globe Base Electrical components .     10、 North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Australia ano Asia, and of the islands of Greenland, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Japan, Phillippines, Java, New Guinea, Sumatra, New Zealand, British Isles, Ireland and Newfoundland, shall be marked on the surface of the globe. These landmasses shall be out1 ine

    11、d with one-thirty-second-inch black lines and the areas therein shown in the following transparent colors: (a) Blue (b) Green Asia North America and Africa (c) Red (d) Yellow South America and Europe Australia and all islands. 3.4.2 Accessori es. - 3.4.2.1 Secant cone.- The secant cone shall be form

    12、ed from one- The cone shall be made in three sections sixteenth-inch white translucent Plexiglas number 2333-75 or equal or drawn from heavier stock Plexiglas or equal to provide a final wall thickness of not less than one-sixteenth inch. with the center section fitted to the inner surface of the gl

    13、obe. center section of the cone shall have a projection of the outlines of the appropriate landmasses silk-screened on the outer surface of the cone section to conform with standard cartographic practice .for thissimulated projection. All sections of this cone shall appear to form a continuous cone

    14、when viewed from any point in the plane of the equator. The 3.5 Dimensions and tolerances .- Dimensions and tolerances shall be as shown on NAVTRADEVCEN 53080-A drawinqs. Tolerances not shown on the drawings shall be maintained to assure meeting the interchangeability requirements specified in 3.2.1

    15、. - 3.6 Finish and color.- Finish and color shall be as shown on NAVTRADEVCEN 53080-A Drawi ngs and the fol 1 owing : 3.6.1 Color.- The colors of the specified finish as designated in 3.4.1 shall be Rohm and Haas colored plexiglas or equivalent, as follows: (a) Red Red-Col ored P1 exigl as number 20

Particular attention shall be given to neatness and thoroughness of finishes, .

    18、soldering, markings, marking of parts and assemblies, color of continents, outline of continents, wiring, freedom of parts from sharp edges or any other damage or defect that could make the part or equipment unsatisfactory for intended use. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for insp

    19、ection.- Inspections to be performed are classified as follows: (a) In-process inspection (b) Qual i ty conformance inspection. 4.2 In-process inspection.- In-process inspection shall include such visual, electrical , and mechanical examinations and testing of materials, subassemblies, parts and acc

    20、essories (including purchased standard items) during the manufacturing process as may be necessary to assure conformance to all the requirements specified herein. 4.3 Quai i ty conformai& inspection .- 4.3.1 Preproduction inspection.- Preproduction inspection shall be conducted on the preproduction

    21、sample and shall consist of all the examina- . tions specified herein. 4.3.2 Production inspection.- Production units shall be inspected to the extent necessary to maintain quality control and conformance to the Government-accepted preproduction sample. to the foPlowing requirements: 4. .4 Examinati

PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Preservation and packaging.- Preservation and packaging shall be level A, B or C (see 6.2). 5.1.1 Level A.- For level A, each training aid shall be

    24、 preserved and packaged for mechanical and physical protection in accordance with MIL-P-116, Method III. 5.1.1.1 Unit packaging.- Each training aid shall be packaged one unit to a container conforming to PPP-B-636. 5.1.2 Level C.- Training Aid shall be preserved and packaged to a degree which will a

    25、fford protection against corrosion, deterioration, and physical damage during shipment from supply source to the first beceiving activity. This level , in general , will conform to applicable carrier rules and regula- tions. Suppliers comercial practices may be used when they meet the require- ments

    26、 of this level. 5.2 Packing.- Packing shall be level A or C (see 6.2). 5.2.1 Level A.- Units packaged in accordance with 5.1.1 shall be packed in exterior containers conforming to PPP-B-601. by the procuring activity (see 6.2), the gross weight shall not exceed the weight limitations of the shipping

    27、 container. Each exterior shipping container shall be lined with a waterproof moisture barrier sealed with adhesive or tape to effect water resistance in accordance with MIL-L-10547. A case liner shall not be required where the package(s) and package dunnage have been treated to resist water. class

    28、2, closed, reinforced and waterproofed as specified in the appendix thereto, and used as shipping containers, shall not be overpacked. As far as practical, exterior containers shall be of uniform shape and size, be of minimum

    30、cube and tare consistent with the protection required, and contain identical quantities. Containers shall be sealed with tape conform- ing to PPP-T-60 in accordance with the Appendix thereto. packed in containers which will insure acceptance by comnon carrier and safe delivery at destination. carrie

    35、ated as Device 1W3 for Navy procurement. 6.3 Definitions.- Except as specified herein, definitions will be 6.3.1 furnished upon written request to the procuring activity. Preproduction sample.- A production item furnished under produc- tion contracts for the purpose of determining compl iance with r
