SCOPE 1.1 Speed Control Assembly, LD5

APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 The following documents of the issue in effect on date of invitation for bids or request for proposal form a part of the specification to the extent speci- fied

REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Preproduction. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or order , the preproduction sample shall: (a) Be manuf

    7、actured using the procedures proposed for the production lot. (b) Consist of one assembly. (c) Be tested as specified in Section 4 herein and is for the purpose of determining that, prior to starting production, the suppliers pro- duction methods are capable of yielding items that comply with the te

    8、chnical requirements of the contract. 3.2 Basic requirements 3.2.1 Contractor-furnished data, Data shali be supplied for preproduction and periodic production samples; however no data is to he furnished with the deliverable production lot, iinless specified herein or in the contract or order, Provid

Lnless otherwise specified herein, or in the contract or order, all materials and treatments of mate

    10、rials and parts used in the manufacture of the assembly shall be in accordance with LD546993. Fungus nutrient material shall not be used. 3.3 Performance .requirements. The assembly shall meet the following performance requirements when subjected to the tests of 4.5, 4.6, and 4.7. 3.3.1 Input voltag

    11、e. The assembly shall meet the performance requirements of this specification with an input voltage of 40 *5 vdc applied between Pl-1 and Pl-7 (common). 3 3.2 amplitude of 32 *l vrms across a 3,600 ohm load connected between Pl-3 and P1-4. 3.3.3 maximum to 2280 cps minimum. The frequency shall be ad

    12、justable to 2000 I2 cps, by a 5,000-ohm potentiometer connected between Pl-5 and Pl-6. 3.3.4 assembly connector shall be as follows: Output voltage. The output voltage shall be a sinusoidal voltage with an Output frequency. The output frequency shall be variable from 1660 cps Resistance. The resista

Unless otherwise specified the assembly, when installed in the test set, shall be capable of

    14、conforming to the performance and product characteristics of this specification during and after exposure, at any . temperature in the applicable range, to the environmental requirements under all condictions specified in this section. 3.4.1 capable of withstanding the type I vibration specified in

    15、Standard MIL-STD-167, except that the variable frequency and endurance test requirements shall be as follows: The assembly in operating condition shall be vibrated from 5 to 15 cps, at a half peak amplitude of O. 030 therefore, the sample shall be deemed a defective unit if, subsequent to the period

    16、ic production tests, it is unable to pass the quality conforinance tests and examinations. 4.7 Quality conformance tests and examinations. Unless otheiwise speci- fied, each assembly delivered under contract shall be subjected to the tests and examinations specified herein. A report form is provided

    17、 in the appendix for recording quality conformance tests data. 4. 7.1 Acceptance criteria. Failure of the end product to pass any examination or test of this section will automatically classify the unit as nonconforming, When nonconforming units are corrected by the contractor, the unit shall be rei

    18、nspected. The reinspection of a nonconforming unit may be limited to the test or examination which defined the nonconformance or, when so directed by the cognizant inspector, a complete re-examination and retest of the unit may be required, Nonconforming units, which have not been corrected, will be

Procedures for and results of all calibrations shall be sub- ject to approval of the cognizant Government Inspector, Items having equivalent characteristics may be substituted where necessary.     25、3.3 Output frequency (a) Set FREQUENCY control, on test fixture, to the full counterclock- wise position. The electronic counter shall indicate a frequency less than 1660 cps. (b) Set FREQUENCY control, on test fixture, to the full clockwise position. The electronic counter shall indicate a frequenc

    26、y greater than 2280 cps. (c) Adjust FREQUENCY control, on test fixture, for a frequency indication of 1999 to 2001 cps on the electronic counter. If this indication cannot be obtained, the assembly is faulty. 4.7.3.4 Resistance test. Turn off power supply. Remove assembly from test fixture and measu

    30、ation markings missing, lccated incorrectly, illegible or incomplete, 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Preservation and packaging. Preservation and packaging shall be Level A or C as specified (see 6.2). 5.1.1 Level A 5.1.1.1 C-1; and drying, if required, shali be in accordance with procedure D-1 or

    31、D-4 of Cleaning. Cleaning, if necessary, shall be in accordance with process MIL-P-116. 5.1.1.2 Unit packaging. Unit packaging of the assemblies shall be in accordance with Method IIb of Specification MIL-P-116. The unit package shall contain one assembly in fiberboard containers. The outer containe

    32、r shall be in accordance with Specification PPP-B-636; Style RSC; Type CF; Class -Weather resistant; Variety SW; Grade V3c. 5.1.1.3 intermediate package. Not applicable. 5.1.1.4 Cushioning. The unit package, and pack, shall incorporate sufficient cushioning material, bracing, or other adequate shock

    33、 absorbing devices, to assure that the assembly will meet all the requirements of Section 3 after trans- portation. Cushioning material and packaging procedure shall be such that the assembly shall not be contaminated with dust or foreign materials, At the time of packaging or packing, the moisture

    34、content of the cushioning material shall be no more than 5 percent. The pH range of the material shall be between 6. O and 8.0. 5.1.2 Level B. Not applicable. 5.1.3 accordance with the suppliers commercial practice when such practices are approved by the procuring activity. Level C. Cleaning, drying

Not applicable. 5.2.3 to afford protection against damage during direct shipment from the supply source to the first receiving activity for immediate use. Shipping containers shall con- form to the carrier rules

    38、and regulations applicable to the mode of transportation. 5.3 Marking Level C. Assemblies, packaged in accordance with 5.1, shall be packed . 5.3.1 Normal markings, in addition to the markings required by contract or order, unit packages and shipping containers shall be marked in accordance with the

    39、 requirements of MIL-STD-129, including serial numbers. 6. NOTES 6.1 Description and intended use 6.1.1 Description, The assembly provides a variable frequency outputthat simulates the output of the alternator/rectifier in the torpedo afterbody. 6.1.2 Test Set Mark 443 Mod O, used to test the Torped

    40、o Mark 46 Mod O, and an integral part of the Guidance Control Test Set Mark 443 Mod 1, used to test the Torpedo Mark 46 Mod O or Mod 1. 6.2 Ordering data. Procurement documents shall specify the following: Intended use. The assembly is an integral part of the Guidance Control (a) Title, number and d

    41、ate of this specification. (b) Required level of preservation and packaging, and packing. (c) Packing quantity, (d) Assigned activity for preproduction and periodic tests, (e) Any exceptions to this specification, (f) (g) Required data. Provisions for additional samples required because of failure o

    43、y. The amplitude may refer to displacement or acceleration. The dis- placement is given in one-half the peak-to-peak escursion in inches or the cor- responding ma-ximum acceleration in gravity units (g). The frequency is given in cycles per second (cps). 6.3.2 Shock. Shock is an abrupt change in the

    44、 position of a body, resulting from the sudden application of a large external foxe of short duration, Shock is described as a pulse force in units of gravjtationai acceleration (gs), of duration in units of time, milliseconds (ms), and a shock wave approximating a me-half sine wave. The time durati

    45、on shall be measured between two points where two lines intersect the zero “gtl line.
