In the event of static-firing failure, the sample firings will be terminated for the remaining sample units pending disposition instructions from the procuring activity. 4.5.3 Classification of characteristics. The characteristics verified by the tests and examinations herein

Requirements that verify critical characteristics are identified by the symbol (C) and major characteristics by the symbol (M). The number following the classification symbol indicates the serial number of the requirement.

Test motors not fired within 15 minutes after removal from the conditioning oven shall be reconditioned 2 minutes for each minute (over the 15) outside the conditioning chamber. The reconditioning time shall

35、be not more than 8 hours. 4.6.2.2 Instrumentation. All measurements shall be made with instruments and systems with a total sys- tem accuracy, reproducibility, and frequency response that has been approved by the procuring acitivity. Calibration records of all test equipment shall be maintained and

36、made available to the procuring activity upon request. 4.6.3 Temperature cycling. The propellant grains shall be equally divided into two groups with each group subjected to alternate conditioning chambers at - 40F and 140”F, remaining in each chamber not less than 8 hours with a transfer time betwe

37、en chambers of not more than 5 minutes. Each motor shall undergo a total of three cycles (see 6.4.6). Conditioning for one group shall begin and end at -40F and the other group shall begin and end at 140F. After temperature cycling, the grain shall be returned to ambient tem- perature and radiograph
