In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and the reference cited herein, the text of this specification shall take precedence. 3. REQUIR

    16、EMENTS 3.1 First article. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), the contractor shall furnish three SIXCON basic frames for IS0 testing and one complete fuel pump module for inspection and testing. The first article shall be manufactured using the same methods, proce- dures, and tooling proposed for

    17、production. Approval of the first article by the procuring activity shall not relieve the contractor of the obligation to supply equipment conforming to this specifica- tion. Changes or deviations in production units from the approved first article baseline shall require written authorization by the

    18、 procuring activity. 3.2 Materials. Materials used in fabrication of the fuel pump module shall be as specified on Drawing No. 845010A0000. Materials shall be free of defects and imperfections that might affect the- serviceability and appearance of the finished product. Substitute material shall not

Materials not specified shall be selected by the contractor and shall be subject to all provisions of this speci

    20、fication, Special precautions shall be observed to ensure that materials in contact with fuel do not contain contaminants which would preclude ics intended use. 3.3 Design and construction. The fuel pump module shall be fabricated and assembled in accordance with Drawing No. 845010AOOOO and as speci

    21、fied herein, pump, filter separator, monitor, meter, static discharge reel, hose reel and frame. 3,3, Safety approval plate. Necessary actions as prescribed in 49CFR451 (see code of Federal Regulations) shall be accomplished to obtain approval of the containers by an appropriate Convention for - Gaf

    22、e Containers (CSC) approval authority (see 49CFR451, Subpart B - “Approval of New Containers“) and the required CSC safety approval plate shall be provided and affixed to the module as prescribed in 49CFR451, Subpart C - “Safety Approval Plate“. The notice of approval received. from the approval aut

    23、hority which authorizes the attachment of CSC safety approval plates shall be furnished to the contracting officer within 30 days of receipt by the contractor. The contractor shall also provide a certificate to the contracting ofPicer stating the serial number, model number, and any pertinent manufa

    24、cturing identification numbers of the modules that are covered under a specific notice of approval. The fue pump module shall have a rated flow of 100 gallohs per minute (gpm) minimum and a maximum working pressure of not lass than 50 pounds per square inch gage (psig). 3.3.3 Static, groundiny. All

    25、components (pump, filter/separator, monitor, meter, static discharge reel, and hose reel) shall be grounded to the pump module frame, A fuel pump module shall consist of a 3.5.2 Capacity, 3.3,4 Welding and welders 3,3,4,1 Welding. The fuel pump module and its components shall be welded in accordance

    26、 with Drawing No. 845010A0000. Welding shall meet the requirements of ML-W-8611. welded shall be free from rust, scale, paint, grease, or other foreign matter. Spot, tack, or intermittent welds shall not be permitted unless otherwise cited in Drawing No. 845010A0000. Weld penetration shall be such a

    27、s to provide transference of maximum design stress through the base metal juncture. Fillet welds shall be provided when necessary to reduce stress concentration. All finished weldments shall be straight and true in accordance with good ahop practice. Faulty weldments shall be corrected by welding on

    28、ly, Peening shall not be utilized to correct faults, Weld spatters shall be removed. All parts shall be properly aligned and meshed and operable without interference, tight spots or ather irregulaEities.     29、d without license from IHS-,-,-1 MIL-M-29 4 17 (MC). 6% . 3.3.4.2 Welders. Al1 welders shall be qualified for the types of welds required in the fabrication of fuel pump modules. Before assigning any welder to welding work, the contractor shall provide the contracting officer with certification that

    30、 the welder has passed qualification tests as prescribed by either of the following listed codes for the type of welding operation to be performed and that such qualification is effective as defined by that particular code. AWS D1.1, Structural Welding Code, Section 5. Boiler and Fressure Vessel Cod

    31、e, Welding Qualification, Qualification - Welding Inspection Manual Section IX (ASME) 3.3.5 Castinqs and forgings. Castings and forgings shall be manu- . factured in accordance with Drawing No. 845010A0000 All castings shall be sound and free from patching, inclusions, misplaced coring, warping, or

    32、any other defect that reduces the castings ability to perform its intended function. Forgings shall be uniform in quality and condition, and shall be free from tears, cracks, seams, laps, internal ruptures, imbedded scale, segregation and other defects, 3.3.6 Bolted and pinned connections. Bolt and

    33、pin holes shall be accurately punched or drilled and shall have the burrs.removed. Washers or lockwashers shall be provided in accordance with good commercial practice and all bolts, nuts and screws shall be tight. 3.3.7 Machine work. Where machined surfaces are required to be heat treated, hardened

    34、, finish ground, plated or coated, the part dimensions, as specified in Drawing No. 845010A0000, shall be main- tained. 3.3.8 Metal fabrication. Metal used in the fabrication of the fuel pump modules shall be free from kinks and sharp bends. The straightening of material shall be done by methods tha

    35、t will not cause injury to the metal. for the thickness of the metal, may be employed instead of shearing or sawing order to insure uniformity of size and shape. Heated metal shall be allowed to cool slowly. classification, furnished under any specific contract, shall be physically and mechanically

    36、identical. applicable requirements specified in IS0 668, 1161, and 1496/I. Flame cutting, using a tip suitable Reentrant cuts may be made with controlled means in 3.3.9 Interchangeability.     38、tainability. The mean time to repair (MTTR) shall not exceed 1 hour at the organizational level and 2 hours at the direct support level, 3.6 Performance characteristics. The fuel pump module system shall not leak when presaurized to 75 psig. 3.7 Environmental requirements. Fuel pump modules shall wi

    39、th- stand, without leakage, cracking, corroding, peeling of paint, or loss of unctionality, the humidity resistance low temperature (-25OF) and high temperature (160OF) and salt fog when tested as specified in 4,5. 3.8 Painting, The fuel pump module shall be painted as speci- fied on Drawing No. 845

    40、010A0000 and MIL-E-52798. Color shall be as speciied in 6.2. 3.9 Marking/serialization, 3.9.1 Fuel pump module. The fuel pump module shall be marked 3,9,2 Parts and components. Parts and components shall be and serialized as specified on Drawing No. 845010A0000. marked in accordance with MIL-STD-130

    41、. 3.9.3 Identification plate, The fuel pump module identification plate shall be in accordance with Drawing No. 845010A0000. 3.9.4 Instruction plate. The fuel pump module instruction plate shall be in accordance with Drawing No. 845010A0000. 3.10 Workmanship. All parts, components, and assemblies of

    42、 the fuel pump module including castings, forgings, molded parts, stamp- inys, seals and sealing agents, machined surfaces, and welded parts shall be clean and free from any defects that will reduce the capa- bility of the fuel pump module to meet the requirements specified herein. modified to overc

The inspection requirements specified herein are classified as fol

    47、lows: (a) First article inspection (see 4.3) (b) Quality conformance inspection (see 4.4) (c) Packaging (see 4.6) 4.3 First article inspection and testiny. First article inspec- tion shall consist of the examinations and tests specified in Table I. One fuel pump module and three SIXCON basic frames
