    17、L-M-l7413A(NAVY) . ! I .- 31.6.1.2.1 Where the resistance of the winding is 1. O ohm or more, method 2 (resistance) applies. Where the resistance of the winding is less than 1 ohm, the temperature measurements shall be deter- mined by method 1 (thermometer) except for those motors where the Winings

    18、are inaccessible, in which case method 2 (resistance) shall be used. 1 . I 3.6.1.3 Shock resistance. - The motors shaii be capable of Withstanding the high-impact shock test specified in Specification MUI-S-901 and 4.2.4.22 hereln. 3.6.1.4 Armature windings. - in motors of a frame size larger than t

    19、hat used for a motor having a rang of 5 horsepower at 1150 r. p. m. the armature coils shaU be form-wound (that is, wound, formed, and insulated before assembly in the core slots) and interchangeable. The coils shall be securely zetained in the slot by wedges. Banding wire shall not be used to secur

    20、e the windings in the slot. Where steel banding wire is used to band the armature end turn windings, the wire shall be in accordance with Specifi- cation MiL-W-806 or MIL-W-3068. The insulation used under the wire shall be type FP, FC or RP of Specification MIL-1-695 for class A and pasted mica in a

    21、ccordance with Specification HH-1-538 or mica- glass combination in accordance with Specification MIL-1-3505 for class B or H. tion MIL-H-17678. The spring shall not be depended upon to carry current. I 3.6.1.5 Brush holder springs. - Brush holer springs shall be in accordance with Specifica- 3.6.1.

    22、6 Brush holders. - The type of brush holders shall be as follows: i (a) For reversible moors: Box type only. (b) For nonreversible motors: Box or type open. 3.6.1.7 Radio noise. - The design of the motors shall be such as to minimize the generation of radio interference. Where suppression harnesses

    23、are required to reduce radio noise to the limits speci- fied (see 6.2) impedance coils and capacitors designed for suppression purposes shall be satisfactory to the bureau or agency concerned, and shall be capable of Withstanding high impact shock test in accordance with SpecLfication MIL-S-Bol. Cap

    24、ctcitors shall be in accordance with Specification MIL-C-25. 3.6.1.7.1 Radio interference suppression devices, where required, shall be readily removable for replacement purposes and shall be capable of withstanding a voltage of 600 volts.     28、series as shownh table B of figure 1 and the applicable table for d. c. motors of Speci- fication MIL-P-17840. 3.6.1.9.2 Mounting. - The bearings shall be secured on the shaft by means of locknuts and lock- washers. The pulley end bearing shall be fixed axially in the housing by suitable housing and

    29、 enci caF shoulders. Por gear case motors the front end bearing shall be fixed in the housing. The axial movements of the shaft shall be not more than O. O10 inch including bearing end play where the application d3es mt require the end play to be minimized. All fits and tolerance shall be in accoran

    39、6 Direction of rotation. - Nonreversiblemotors shall be marked in E permanent marer t: 3.6.1.17 Seals. - Except where double sealed ball bearings in accordance with 3.6,l. 9 (cl ere tsc; -u, the housing shall provide for a close-clearance metallic (nonrubbing) seal on both sides of the b- for exampl

Such sealing arrangements shall however, be satisfactory to the bureaii or agency concernes (see. 3.2.19.1.2). 3.6.1.18 Securing armature core to shaft. - Keys or keys in canjunction with press or shriE: fits shall be provided to prevent rotation of the core aro

    41、und the shaft, (see 3.2.20. i). 3.6.1.19 Securing commutator core to shaft. - The commutator core shall be secured rigicy tz the shaft or spider by keying to prevent rotational movernent of the core around the shaft.
