23、 inner woven jacket over which the treated outer wovenjacket is placed. 39、ognized testing group or agency (see 6.6) adequatelyequipped to perform testing of fire hose.4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS4.1 ResDonsibilitv for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in thecontract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance ofall inspection requirements
40、(examinations and tests) as specified herein. Exceptas otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may usehis own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspectionrequirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. TheGovernment reserve
41、s the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in thisspecification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies andservices conform to prescribed requirements.4.1.1 Resuonsibilitv for compliance. All items shall meet all requirementsof sections 3 and 5. The inspection set
42、 forth in this specification shall becomea part Of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. Theabsence of any inspection requirements in the specification shall not relieve thecontractor of the responsibility of ensuring that all products or suppliessubmitted to the Government f
43、or acceptance comply with all requirements of thecontract. Sampling inspection, as part of the manufacturing operations, is anacceptable practice to ascertain conformance to requirements, however, this doesnot authorize submission of known defective material, either indicated or actual,nor does it c
44、ommit the Government to accept defective material.4.2 Classification of inspections. Unless ochervise specifted (see 6.2),first article inspectionshallbe performedon onehoseassembly.(see6.4).The inspectionshallinclude the examination of 6.5 and the testi of 4.6 (see6.3).
