15、d AN/USH-l7(V) Mission Recorder Sets currently deployed worldwide in both shipboard and shore i nstal 1 ati ons. The cabi net provi des mounting facilities, power and signal interface, and cooling air in a single enclosure for five classes of equipment used with the AN/UPQ-5 and AN/USH-l7(V) system.
16、 First, operational installation facilities are provided for the IP-1314/UPQ-5 Video Indicator, which was an addition to the AN/UPQ-5 and for which no rack space was available in the basic equipment. Second, the cabinet provides nonoperating storage space for the SM-6971UPQ-5 Radar Signal Simul ator
17、 and DA-662/UPQ-5 Electrical Dummy Load, two items of Peculiar Ground Support Equipment (PGSE) for an AN/UPQ-5. Third, this cabinet provides . on-site storage (nonoperating) for selected Shop- Replaceable Assembl ies (SRAS) of the AN/UPQ-5 and AN/USH-l7(V) system. Fourth, the cabinet provides operat
18、ional mounting facilities for the Video Scan Converter CV-3874/UPQ-5 and the Video Cassette Recorder RO-558/UPQ-5. Both units are items of the Peculiar Ground Support Equipment (PGSE) for the AN/UPQ-5. Fifth,. the cabinet provides operational mounting facilities (including power and signal interface
19、s) for additional equipments planned for future expansion of the mission capability of the AN/UPQ-5 and AN/USH-l7(V) system to include mission-tape duplicator capability. The equipments acconodated by the cabinet to support this future expansion are a uniquely configured AN/USH-l7(V) Mi ssion Record
20、er, a CV-2933A/UPQ-5 Static Frequency Converter, and a Duplicator Interface unit.
