    25、tic effects by placing the catapult 6 inches from, and at the same height as the compass, in sinorth- south horizontal position with the compass set in an east-west heading. catapult shall be moved slowly past the compass in a longitudinal direction for its entire length, rotated i80 degrees in the

    26、horizontal position and moved slowly back past the compass. The 5.
