Materials, parts and assemblies shall comply with the requirements specified on the applicabl

Physical properties specified on the drawings shall be uniform throughout e
11、ach part within the tolerances. Physical properties requirements for alloy steel parts shall be achieved by quenching and tempering. 3.4 Hydrostatic pressure. The components listed in TAl3LE I shall withstand the corresponding internal pressure for 15 seconds (s) minimum, without application of any

Shear pins shall shear when subjected to an axial load of 41 t 5 lbs applied at the rate of 0.125 inches per minute. 3.6 Protective finish. Protective finis
14、h shall be in accordance with the applicable specification referenced on the drawings and shall apply to all surfaces regardless of configuration. 3.7 WorkmaIiship. The requirements of workmanship shall be as specified on the applicable drawings, referenced specifications and the following: 3.7.1 Me
15、tal defects. All components shall be free from cracks, splits, cold shots, inclusions, porosity or other mtdidefects. 3.7.2 Burr. No- part shall have a burr which might interfere with the ass- or function of the item or which might be injurious to personnel handling the item. 3.7.3 Foreigh matter. N
16、o past of the assembly shall contain chips, dirt, grease, oil, rust, corrosion or other foreign matter. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PAOVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the contractoy is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as s

Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), all inspections shall be performed under the following conditions:
20、a. Temperature: Room ambient 18 to 35OC (65 to 95F) b. Altitude: Noml ground c. Vibration: None d. Humidity: Room ambient to 95 percent relative, maximum 4.4 First article inspection. 4.4.1 Initial production sample. Unless otherwise specified in the contract (see 6.2), an initial production sample
21、of 10 sets of unassenibled components and 50 shear pins from the same lot of pins used by the contractor shall be sumtted to an activity designated by the procuring activity (see 6.2) for initial production examination and test. The sample shall be manufactured using the same materials, equipment, p
22、rocesses and procedures to be used in regular production. and packing shall be the same as those used for regular production and shall be obtained fromthe same source of supply. production samples (exclusive of the 50 shear pins) shall be includec in the quantity specified for delivery on contract i

The quality conformance inspection shall consist of the examinations of 4.6 and the tests of 4.7 performed on samples selected in
25、 accordance with 4.5.2 and 4.5.3. Sampling shall be in accordance with MIGSTD-105. 4.5.1 Lot size. For the purpose of identification and shipment, a shipping lot shall consist of 1200 metal parts assemblies, maximurn, exclusive of test samples, provided the homogeneity of mufac- turing process has b
